They’re ok…I bought these as my ‘old’ bibs needed replacing & I like the idea of additional storage. They’re ok… longest ride I’ve done in them is 80 miles, they were ok, pockets were handy but… meh. I think what bugs me is I own a pair of pro team training bibs, made in Portugal which are by far the BEST bibs I’ve ever owned and recently the new products don’t feel that way, maybe it’s just me? The material feels cheaper, these cargo shorts feel stiffer, the pad seems to take ages to settle and… I don’t know.. they’re ok…
It’s a shame production has moved to the far east where labour/materials are cheaper yet consumer cost has risen dramatically.

Stand outs in the Rapha bib line upThese are a truly wonderful pair of bib shorts. Super comfortable chamois and the cargo pockets really add that extra versatility. The fabric these are made of also add to lengthen the season as they are wind resistant. Maybe make a warm weather version as they can be a bit warm for the height of summer. It’s doable but it’s gonna be a bit toasty. Compared to the core cargo bib shorts these are way not comfortable in my opinion. And that certainly isn’t a sleight on the core bibs, these are just a superior short. Long days in the saddle are a breeze. Maybe it’s the compression of the material that helps keep them in place a bit better?

Holy Grail of Dirt BibsI do endurance Mtb and have been battling soreness in the saddle forever. I’ve tried different saddles, pro team bibs, pro training, but nothing stopped pain after the 5hr mark.
Didn’t want to spend the cash but said screw it, nothing to lose at this point. Holy crap they were worth it. I can ride 8hrs on chunky terrain no problem, a little discomfort which is expected but not the “omg I can’t go on” pain I was getting before.
Price is ridiculously high, but if you’re riding long rides it’s a must have. Will purchase a second pair without question.

AwwwwwkwardI was super excited to get this piece. I went with the blue color, which looks awesome. The fabric is great and chamois is comfortable. The only problem is that it creates a ridiculous camel toe. Cycling gear isn't very flattering in general, add in the unfortunate shape it creates on the nether region and it's almost unwearable. I own probably 10 different bibs from all the premium brands and I've never had this issue with any of them.

Great fit and comfy for long daysNice bibs. Good fit, they’re a little more relaxed than the pro bibs, so near that in mind if you like a close fit.
The pockets are a good size and shape and hold items securely.
The back pockets are high enough that they don’t interfere with over shorts if you wear them.
The water resistant element of the shorts do make them quite hot to wear in mid summer, but on cooler days they’re lovely.
The pad is excellent and 100+mile rides are not a problem, very comfy, good quality and value.

Rapha cargo bib shortsBrilliant shorts from rapha. Really comfy, good dwr water repellent fabric, and well designed storeage on the legs and back. I am 5ft 8in and 71kg and took a small, although a medium would also have been fine. Main reason for the small rather than medium is the leg grippers, which tend to be a little loose with the medium. I take small in the rapha classic and brevet cuts, and medium in pro team. Another great product from rapha.

Beyond expectationsI was skeptical of any bibs at this Price point, but these are far past my expectations. I did a couple of zwift rides first and didn’t think they were too special, and then did an 87 mile gravel ride - and I never noticed them other than really enjoying the cargo pockets. For some reason, I’m much more likely to eat supplements when they are in my cargo pocket and I can see what I am grabbing. Fit: I’m 6’3”, 190lbs. The fit is not ultra tight, and probably could have done a large except I need every inch in the length over my shoulders. I will use these exclusively for race day.

Comfy shorts for long ridesReally comfy shorts. I wore them for 3 days during a bikepacking trip in Montana and let them air dry after each day. No smell! One thing about them though is that my blue ones show some crazy male cameltoe. I got the blue because they were on sale otherwise woulda gotten black for that reason. Guess that’s the trade off for the extra cushion!
I am 172 cm/ 68 kg and now I wear Castelli UNLIMITED BIBSHORT with M size.
Castelli UNLIMITED BIBSHORT and Rapha cargo bib shorts have the same waist(84 cm) but different hips(C:98 cm;R:100cm)
Should I choose Rapha cargo bib shorts M?

We recommend the size Medium for you. However because fit is dependent mostly on each body shape and customer's personal preference to how customer's prefer garments to fit, it is hard for us to be exact in sizing advice.
If you are unsure we have a free 30 day return policy so you can order multiple sizes and then return the one that doesn't fit as good.

I got a pair of brevet bib shorts in 2018, but I never wear them on long rides because the shoulder straps are too tight and the high front makes nature breaks a hassle. Do the cargo bibs have a similar strap material? Or are they more stretchy?
Asked by: Timmerman
The Cargo Bibs are a little lower in the front but the straps are made of the same material as the Brevet Bibs.

What are the key differences between the cargo bib and brevet bin shirts? Is the sizing of both similar?
Thanks
Asked by: Shano
The main difference is the material each of these is made from.
The Brevet Bibs are made of more of a regular bib material whereas the Cargo Bibs are made of a more technical material with a DWR treatment.
The sizing is similar between the two and we recommend the same size in both.

I am 178 cm tall; waist 88cm; hips 90 cm. Which size for the Cargo bib is recommended. I had Large in the past which I find too loose then tried Meduim which feels very tight - what is your recommendation?
Asked by: Zvifriedman
Based on your measurements we recommend a size M.
The bibs should fit snug in the hips to prevent movement of the chamois while on the bike.

How tear/abrasion resistant are these relative to the other bib shorts?
Asked by: Kevin_jazz
These bibs are made of a different material than our other bibs, but they have about the same level of tear resistance as the fabric used for them is lightweight.
