The right size for the jobEverything I needed to relieve my "overpacked jersey pockets" situation. I like to keep my road-rash kit, mini-pump and valuables in here, and try to reserve the jersey pockets for soft items. It's very well built (Rapha never skimps on materials), and the strap configuration ensures proper customization and stability under your handlebar dashboard. The photos do not show the stem strap that steadies the rear side of the bag to the head of the steering column. People talk about not "aero" and yeah, true, but I couldn't sense much difference unless I was plowing 38-42 mph on a steep descent (then yes, you will feel some buffeting or resistance on the bag).

Some Clasps need some design revisionGood size dimensions for the bag itself. Clip clasps options for attaching to actual bike bar.
The black colour/material seems to show a lot of marks by just touching it with clean hands so it looks dirty quite quickly.
I mainly bought this so I could use the longer strap when not on my bike sitting in cafes for breaks etc. ( mainly over my shoulder or cross body).
Unfortunately I can’t use it as desired or advertised as the metal ‘S’ ring type hardware doesn’t stay connected to the bag and slip off when you walk.
They really need proper D ring clips on this bag. It’s a shame it’s not 100% perfect for such a pricy small bag!

Great bag with one massive flaw.I regularly use this bag on my daily commute with it being a great size for my lunch. I like the versatility provided from the removable shoulder strap.
However, there is one massive flaw. Although the bag is waterproof, the zip isn’t. Unfortunately, I faced a couple hours of light rain during bike packing in Wales at the start of June. When I reached my destination I found a small pool of water inside the bag with my items paddling in it.
It baffles me why Rapha would make a bike packing bag without a more waterproof zip or at least the addition or a storm flap. It feels like a really basic mistake for a company (where a lot of my kit comes from) who prides themselves on “testing to the limits”.

Great Value Bar bagI already own a "burrito" type barbag from another maker, which is fine and does the job but has very little features other than storage, which is why I wanted to buy the Rapha bag.
This has to be one of the best value barbags and with most features of it's type on the market, with bags costing twice as much as this that have less features than this one! The fact it can be used off the bike with the supplied shoulder strap is a big bonus over it's rivals. The quality is what you would expect from Rapha (excellent) and it is just the right size for long day rides. Absolutely love it.

Flashy and FunctionalI purchased this bar bag in preparation for a few long-distance bike rides I have planned this year. I love how flashy and functional the product it. The front zipper pocket is great for credit card, gels, or snacks. The bigger pocket is great for sandwiches, bigger food items, and to store spare tubes or excess clothing. I also love the yellow-orange color and how reflective it is, especially early in the morning. It was also easy to setup and adjust on different locations on my bike
The only negative thing about the bar bag is ease of access under my trip computer and there are no instructions for attaching the strap for use off the bike. Despite this, it is a great product.

Bar bagI bought this bag for some longer days out in the saddle and in particular for a upcoming ride to Paris and back in July . I will need to have my passport and extra snacks, suncream and other essentials to hand. The bag is a perfect size for my road bike with ample storage and a clever design that you can fit a light on the front too. The quality and finish are of very good quality and it seems very well made a sturdy - took it for its first ride 85 miles on Monday and was extremely pleased. Can thoroughly recommend.

Compact bar bag. typical excellent Rapha style! Some bar bags offer a lot of room, but that leads to more weight. This smaller bag allows you to carry some essentials with easy access. I carried my ID, a mini wallet, phone, advil, a spare tube, a small charger, battery pack, charge cables for phone and bike computer and a gilet & arm warmers, with room to spare for some extra gels on a long brevet.

Fully NOT waterproof.Great bag so far, holds stuff, easy to separate items ect. A little concerned the stitches by the clamp loops are gonna blow out. Would have liked to see the head tube strap replaced w/ a bungee style strap, to keep the rocking to a minimum and the buckle slap at bay. Good bag overall but fully NOT waterproof. If you live in the PACNW where is rains sometimes be forewarned. you have to take all your gear gout after your ride, dump out the water, dry items and bag ect. Sorta of a hassle. Just my 2 cents.

Can this be used if I have the Garmin varia headlight with an out front mount on my handlebars?
Asked by: Bikeshopping
Yes, you can mount the Bar bag with an out-front mount on the handlebar.
The mount would push the light forward enough for the bag.

Will this ever get pockets on the sides?
Asked by: QuarantineBiker
At the moment there are no plan to add side pockets, as this would make the bag possibly too wide for certain drop bars.

We assume that a normal book doesn't fit into this bag. Please contact enquiries@rapha.cc with the size of the book you're referring.

The bag would be slightly too small for all the equipment required.
