The original Classic Jersey was Rapha’s first ever product. With understated styling and an innovative merino wool blend, it was a bold expression of our mission to create the world’s finest cycling apparel. The latest version of the Classic Jersey II retains the refined fit and rider-inspired details of the original but has been updated with a new version of our Rapha Performance Merino 150 (RPM150) fabric which now incorporates recycled fibres. Unlike generic merino blends, RPM150 is light, soft, breathable and adaptable to a huge range of conditions. And with recycled polyester, it’s a lower impact option too. Helping your body breathe in hot conditions and insulating when the temperature drops, we believe this to be the most versatile cycling fabric in the world, and it’s the product of Rapha’s tireless R&D.

Purchased the Classic Jersey II with the matching Classic Bib Shorts in purple and am so happy with my buy. The jersey fabric feels substantial and is flattering without sacrificing on performance. The jersey is so comfortable on an all day climbing road ride, keeping my warm in the early morning and dry in the full midday sun. My dimensions are 34-27-34 and I chose the size small. There is room in the midsection, definitely not racing tight and smoothing and flattering on a bloat day. The jersey sits nicely on my hips without riding up, and at no point does the zipper irritate my skin. Love the characteristic band on the arm. Would highly recommend this jersey for everyday riding without sacrificing on quality and longevity.

High quality relaxed fit jersey
The classic jersey is my "go to" summer jersey for everything but the hottest of days. It has a relaxed fit so is really comfortable for long days on the bike/multi day trips. The merino wool and finish are really high quality and i love the aubergine colour this season. Whilst not cheap, it is very good VFM in terms of longevity and quality of product.

Great jersey
Really like this jersey. It's a little on the thicker side so not a slick pro type jersey but great for everyday cycling and especially in my climate when it never gets very hot. I also especially like the fact it's on the longer side for those of us with long torsos. Flattering, comfy and stylish. What more could you want?

Really lovely
I love this jersey. It is soft and comfortable with all the bells and whistles. It the only Jersey I want to wear now! It runs on the loser side but has a waist adjustment. For reference, I am 5’8” 140lb and I ordered the M. I have a long torso and this jersey is perfect.

Good, basic top
Lovely, dark, rich purple and great material. Hoping for a base layer under it as the months cool so I can get good use from the top. First Rapha top and very pleased to read it contains natural fibres (Merino Wool). Ordered a size S Im size 6/8 and could have perhaps gone smaller for a tighter fit. Great zip pocket alongside usual back pockets. Hopefully this top can accompany me on many autumn rides.

Lovely and comfortable
I do love the style and quality. I like the arms especially - as they don't ride up and are always comfortable. The colour is lovely and very happy with this.

Feels like cheap polyester
I was really disappointed with the fabric. It’s supposed to be merino, but it felt like a heavy, cheap polyester. The fit was fine, runs large. I had such high expectations for this considering the price, but was sorely disappointed. Two stars instead of one because the color was beautiful.

Loose cutting and too warm for tropical country
For me this is nice to wear when the temperature is below 20°c. I didnt expect that the cutting is too loose compared to other top brands. Meanwhile i can wear the rapha baselayer size xs nicely fit on me, but the same size for this jersey just doesnt look as nice as other top brands on me :(

How do the sizes compare to say size 10/12/14? Cannot ask the persons measurements without giving away what I’m doing!!
Unfortunately, that type of sizing is not standardised and therefore it's difficult to make an accurate recommendation. As a rough guide however, XXS should be similar to a size 6, XS would be 8, S would be 10, M a 12, L a 14 and XL a 16.

I'm interested in the WOMEN'S CLASSIC JERSEY II. What is the arm length on the small. I have an older version and the arm is just too short, especially when using arm warmers. Thank you.
