In recent years, the sleepy Catalan town of Girona has become a mecca for professional cyclists, and with good reason. Silky smooth, almost traffic-free roads lead out of town in every direction, giving cyclists the option to ride to the coast or into the mountains to test themselves on the peloton’s favourite training climb, Rocacorba. To explore the region’s roads in the company of friends from your local Chapter, choose the relevant trip from the product list.

Berlin/Germany – 12-15th March

London/UK – 19-22nd March

Copenhagen/Scandinavia – 26-29th March

Arriving on a Thursday, and riding for four days up until Sunday, the club will explore Catalonia’s varied landscapes. Each day, we’ll offer different routes of varying length to suit all members, taking in the region’s beautiful coastline as well as a few local climbs. While the scenery will change, the roads are all silky smooth and the weather should be warm and sunny at this time of year. All routes have been planned by local experts and will be led by a member of the RCC team or an RCC Ride Leader.

Three nights’ accommodation in a twin room at the four-star Hotel Gran Ultonia hotel are included. Members can request single occupancy but must do so independently and at their own expense. The price includes breakfast each morning of your stay but dinner and café stops along the way are at members’ own expense. Riders will be supplied with planned routes and receive a pack of weekend riding essentials. There’ll be mechanical assistance from a support car, ride food, and a prize-giving at the end. Bike hire is available in the area, a list of recommended outlets will be shared upon confirmation.

You should make your way to the hotel for 2pm on the day of arrival ahead of the first afternoon ride and expect to leave no later than 3pm, following our final ride on Sunday morning. A full itinerary will be emailed and posted on the RCC forum nearer the time. It is worth mentioning that this is not an RCC Summit and all club members will be supporting one another throughout the weekend. If you have a friend who would like to try riding with the RCC, they are welcome to join you on this weekend.
