Description
Rapha’s Merino Boxers provide all-day comfort and functional performance. They are made from very soft merino wool and are extremely comfortable against the skin. The natural fibre wicks sweat superbly, while the addition of a small degree of Elastane provides flexibility. Like Rapha Base Layers, they are finished with flatlock stitching to prevent chafing.

The best wool undershorts you can buy
First of all. Not for distance cycling. My skin isn't particularly sensitive, but these things are wool after all. Even Merino wool is no match for a cycling-short insert. I wear these things all day, EXCEPT when I'm on the bike. Wool is a great material for base layers -- It's cool when it's hot and warm when it's cool. It keeps your bits from getting sweaty. It doesn't hold body odor.
These are the best wool undershorts I've found. The fact that they aren't 100% wool is a huge plus. I have 100% wool undershorts and they stretch and get droopy.
Buy these.

So close to perfect
Previous iterations of the merino boxer were perfect. Fit, material and longevity are still excellent. Where it’s taken a step back however is the addition of 3 interior tags, including one just to hold a hang tag. If this is all for labeling compliance it seems that it could all be placed on the sewn in exterior tag or screen printed on the interior. To use flat lock seems for comfort then add tags confounds the purpose of creating a non chafing garment

Highly recommended!
Odd to realize excitement over boxers but these are just so very good. The only underwear to wear off-bike. Breathable and at their best on long hauls, be it travel or too long workdays at the office or hiking outdoors. Breathable and quick drying, odorless. Perfect fit, design and functionality, no rolling waistbands etc. just quality. Expensive but worth the price. Not everlasting but still the best durability in merino underwear I have encountered. A rotation o three pairs lasted almost a year even when refused to use anything else.

Oh-NO!
I have bought these before; They are THE most comfortable underwear I have ever worn. However I recently ordered another "bundle" and was disappointed to see the addition of an annoying tag with care instructions attached to the waist band. This is very un-Rapha like. If I cut the tag off, what's left will be more irritating. Dare I unpick the stitching, or will the waist band unravel....? 5 Stars otherwise.

Ugh!
I just purchased a bundle of three of the new briefs, with a supposedly new and improved waistband. The stitching is very noticeable, irritating and uncomfortable. I have approx. 20 pair of the old style, and never noticed this. I am returning them.

Great undies!
I use a real leather saddle that breaks in like a high quality baseball glove for your butt. If you use good, light naturally wicking underwear with a pair of equally nice shorts (like the Randoneur shorts that Rapha sells), it pretty much makes padded, tight racing bibs and shorts unnecessary. And I really don't like the way that padded shorts feel like tight, padded diapers! Normally I use Devolder wool underwear but I couldn't find any this time around. So I decided to try Rapha's wool underwear. They are exceptionally well made and very comfortable. They do what they are supposed to do: disappear and keep all of my stuff down there dry. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is that I need time to test their longevity. Two pairs of high quality wool undies rotated evenly should last a year for me. I don't see any signs so far that these won't meet that expectation.

Excellent boxer briefs
I've been in the market for some merino boxer briefs for ride commuting, and travel. The price point is solid, especially when bought as a bundle when compared to Icebreaker or Smartwool.
The materials are excellent. There's a great balance between the structure of the merino, and the elastane. I wouldn't call them soft, but nor are they scratchy. The location, and the quality of the stitching also helps in the saddle. My one nit pick-- the waist band is a little narrow. It can make them feel a little more pinchy, than snug, at the waist. Gotta work those love handles I reckon.

The best boxers ever.
Never normally wright reviews, but I had to with theses boxers. I've tried loads of different brands and materials but nothing compares to theses merino boxers. They fit really well, nice length in the leg. They stay tight and don't go baggy. Never get uncomfortably sweaty. I use them for sport, multi day hikes (don't smell after a few days in the same pair) and now every day for work. Never stop making them!

Hi - I’m a 33 inch waist. Would you recommend the medium or large in these? I don’t like boxers ‘too tight’ so not sure if the large starting at 33.5 inches will be too big?

What is the best fit for the merino boxers? I am small for base layers and medium for everything else. Waist is 30-32". Thank you.

Do these run large in size? Saw someone who said he normally buys Large in Rapha, but medium for these merino boxers
