Description

Great for commuting
A few thoughts on this one. This is my go-to for commuting as it's super light material and has hi viz accents. It would be a good item for any warm weather activities tho. I bought a size up b/c I wanted a shirt that would be less race fit like some of the other commuting Rapha gear. This one is cut more generously tho, so I'd go w/ your normal size.

Comfortable on and off the bike
I bought the EF technical shirt first just to try it out and was pleased enough to want a second garment in the form of the Explore Technical T. I mainly use this for early or late summer days on the MTB or gravel bike. I've used it with a hydropak since stuffed jersey pockets and hydropaks don't always feel comfortable together. I would not use this shirt for extremely hot days, but instead fall back on the flyweight jerseys for deep summer humid, hot days. I find myself using the shirt equally off the bike on hot days as well since it's lighter than most cotton shirts.

Quality clothing
I bought this item to wear during longer causal rides and a couple of over night Bikepack trips and liked it a lot.Quick drying and comfortable, with the option to wear causally proved perfect for overnighters.Light weight and taking up little space with the added bonus of reflective detail proved perfect.
The only real difficultly was selecting the correct size.I opted for a XL after studying the size chart and now after wearing wish I’d gone for a large.That a side, a great T-shirt.

It's very stylish but very expensive
I bought the orange version for wearing on and off the bike. The stripes are very rapha and I like wearing cycling-related clothing off the bike. The orange in the photo however is not the colour of the shirt - it's very much a browny-orange colour and a lot closer to the colour selector circle when ordering. Still, it works. There's no fold-up sleeves like on the other technical t-shirt which would have been a nice addition. Apart from that it works just like any other technical t-shirt with anti-bacterial coating a bonus. These are great t-shirts to take on bike tours as you can wear them on and off the bike and save on luggage - wear in the evening then on a ride the next day. I usually wear large in jerseys but found the medium a better fit.

Very cool
Feels great to wear on the bike as well as off. Maybe a little expensive for a t-shirt, but it is a very special one. Beautifully made and incredibly comfortable.

Excellent fit but won't last long
I got three of these tops and although the material is very light weight and is comfortable the material is the type that tends to hold onto the BO smell under the arms. I only need to wear it for half the day and I can tell and that's after only being wore once before. Real shame as several people have commented on how good it looks. Prob good for training/working out rather than wearing causally

What a great T shirt
Great fit, length, feel, and overall design. I like to wear it under the shadow blazer or on its own casually. I like that it can be an everyday T-shirt and an athletic shirt. The fabric feels great on the skin.

A great alternative to a cotton T
I have the green and the dark blue version of this t-shirt, as well as last year's colourburn. They're great for packing light and dry quickly. Not overly warm so on a cooler, post-ride evening you might want to layer with something else.

How much longer is the large than the medium Tech T-shirt?
The large is longer 1.5cm at the bottom than the medium.

Is this fit more relaxed than other Rapha t-shirts? I’m a large in other Rapha shirts (6’0, 165 lbs) and in between a M or L based on size guide.
This shirt is not any more relaxed than other Rapha t-shirts. I believe you will be a medium in this shirt.
However, with our free returns policy, you can try the medium and large and return one within 30 days.

Is the fabric of this shirt of the ‘older’, more stretchy technical sort? Resembling my 1 or 2 year old colorburn technical t without reflective piping inside the sleeve. Newer technical t’s are less stretchy and a bit thinner with the reflective piping.
The Explore Technical T-Shirt uses the same fabric as our other current technical t-shirts. It doesn't have as much stretch as the other t-shirt you have.
