Brevet Flyweight Wind Jacket

Rated 5 out of 5 by from One of my favourite cycling garments! I really like this garment. I got the navy blue one with one white stripe and one pink stripe. I like the contrast of the blue with the pink, and I also like that the white stripe is reflective. It is very comfortable, and the marino wool mix is a great combination of breathable, reasonably warm, and fitted. It felt slightly scratchy against the skin the first time I wore it, but after washing it was perfect. The pockets are great, especially the fact that two of them have zips. My only criticism of the garment is that, for me, the XL has sleeves that are a little too long, while it fits well everywhere else. But that's obviously a very personal thing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My third, not my last I ride between 12.000-13.000 km a year and also on most days of the week. In all seasons. That means a decent cycling wardrobe comes in very handy. In summer, my favorite jersey is the Brevet LS and in spring and autumn, it's the LS version. I love the big pockets, the extra ballast pocket, its visibility, the merino (I wore the same shirt a few weeks ago on a three day ride: no stink at all) etc. It's just a great shirt that is also quite versatile. With a thicker base layer, or an extra merino, you can wear it on cold winter days as well, if there's not too much wind. I'm 1.80m, +/- 70 kgs and I have a size medium. Size small fits me as well, but is quite tight and makes it hard to wear a layer underneath. You won't regret buying this jersey.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A flexible classic For those casual colder weather rides, this simple non-technical classic jersey is brilliant. The fit is snug but not tight. You aren't going to win an award for most aero wearing this, but it has the pockets to hold a hard shell and all your stuff which makes it more flexible than a DWR coated jersey in practice. Furthermore, its fitted and stretchy enough that you can wear a dense fleece baselayer. Not just the cycling specific ones. A layer of one of those under this jersey will make it pretty much wind resistant as well as warm enough to wear under in 40 degree F weather.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Large Fits My 42-in Chest Perfectly The jersey does everything Rapha said it would. Perfect for temps down to the 50Fs and down to low 50Fs and high 40Fs with a wool base layer. When it warms up to the mid 60Fs, overheating doesn't happen. Excellent, structured material that makes carrying heavy items like a spare tire kit, iPhone, tactical knife, and food easy because the items stay in place unlike the classic Rapha jerseys. Repeated washing--no problemo. Best long jersey I've used in 50 years of cycling.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Long Sleeve Jersey I've Worn I have two of these now, and one more on the way. The gray/pink is nice and neutral, while the dark navy/pink is quite classy. I've found it to be very appropriate on its own for temperatures ranging from 45-55*F (7-13*C). Throw a wind jacket or an insulated vest over it, and I can comfortably go down to ~40*F (4*C). The sportwool blend retains heat and buffers the wind when it's on the chillier end of the spectrum, but also breathes well to prevent overheating at the opposite end. Material is soft, stitching is well done, and all of the pockets are useful. Lastly, the cuffs contour nicely to the wrist, unlike the Pro Team Training long sleeve jerseys.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Versatile Jersey Using this with a merino baselayer and this is now my current go to jersey for cold starts when the temperature is expected to rise throughout the day. Doesn't smell horrific after long rides and dries out very quickly! "Ballast" Pocket is brilliant - I use this primarily for storing either a lightweight gillet or a rain cape depending on the weather conditions and frees up the back pockets for more items. Only downside for me is that the front and fourth pocket zips are a bit fidly to get hold of with full finger length gloves - but this is an issue I have with every piece of cycling garment I own.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Steep price but looks pretty great. I wont lie - I saw this jersey and immediately thought it was the bees knees. Love the colors and the bands around the chest. Just looks classy. The arms are long enough and fits nicely. Though for a a long sleeve this is much more breathable than I had expected. On a 60 deg (15.5) day - in the shade I found myself a bit chillier than I had expected but felt great in the sun. My only gripe (and it may be from my own ignorance) I feel like this is a lot of extra money for just a larger zipper pocket on the back and the brevet pocket on the front breast.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best jersey ever made I now own four brevet jerseys. No other jersey (Rapha or otherwise) can compare to the quality, versatility, and functionality of this product. The merino wool blend is surprisingly comfortable from about 52 degrees F up to the mid 70's. The extra zip pocket in the back is perfect for stowing leg warmers, arm warmers and such. The fit is perfect, especially the somewhat tight, long arms.

I would appreciate your suggestion with sizing as I don’t have previous experience with Rapha clothing. I’m 180cm with 108cm chest and average build (too much Nutella). Slight  stomach but no 6 pack here. I’m leaning toward L but it might be tight? Thanks

Hi, what’s the other colour on the grey long sleeve brevet jersey? I’m colour blind and can’t  work out the other colour it features.

The Grey Long Sleeve Brevet Jersey is actually more of a very light blue along with a darker blue/green color.

Regarding the L/S Brevet jersey in the white color, I notice that the torso beneath the stripes is a distinct off-white. Is this aesthetic, and/or does it correspond with a change in the poly/merino fabric?

It is the aesthetics of the jersey, the fabric is merino throughout the upper and lower half of the jersey.

Hi. I'm 195 cm but my Rapha bibs and ss jersey are both perfect in a size M, I guess S would even fit. I'm worried about sleeve length. My formal shirts are size S with extra long sleeves. What can you recommend?

Given that you're comfortable in a size M in bib shorts and short sleeve jersey, I would recommend trying a size Medium for this product also. The size small might come up a little short.

What are the major differences between the "brevet long sleeve jersey" and the" pro team long sleeve thermal jersey"? Which is the average temperature for both and which is warmer?

The difference is in the thickness and fit. The Brevet jersey is for 8-15 degrees. The themal jersey (is warmer) is designed for colder temperatures and could go down to 2-3 degrees celsius, depending on the effort.
