In tribute to the Queen of the Classics, we ride a route inspired by the cobbles and landscapes of Northern France. Emulate your heroes with 100km of North London's finest off road sectors, and finish in time to watch the pros race the final sectors of pavé en route to the velodrome.

Secure your place

There are 300 spaces on this year’s event so move quickly to avoid missing the break.

All tickets will be sold on a first come first served basis.

The route

Plotting a route through the lanes of North London and out into the lanes of Hertfordshire, A Day in Hell takes in some of the county’s meanest gravé sections. Rider sign-on begins at Pond Square in Highgate from 8.30am; the ride leaves at 9.30am.

The route covers a distance of 100km before finishing at The Griffin pub in Whetstone in time to watch the race unfold from 1pm.

Riders will be provided with a limited edition cap and brevet card with a map of the route at the start as well as complimentary sustenance at a feedstation at around the halfway mark. Your brevet card will also include two tokens to be exchanged for frites and beer on your return to the pub. All included within the price.

Can I download a GPX of the route?

Yes, this year we will be sending participants a .gpx file a few days before the ride. The entire route will be sign posted, but we recommend uploading the .gpx file to your bike computer as a backup.

Will there be a feed stop?

Yes, there will be a feed stop at halfway on the course, with coffee, pastries, fruit and 100% natural ride bars and bites. All participants will be given a beer and bag of frites on arrival at the finish too.

Is the ride supported?

There will be ride food provided at the start and the feed station, but the ride itself is not supported and we recommend taking at least two inner tubes, some food and plenty of water. We also recommend riding wide tyres, at least 25-27mm and with robust puncture protection.

Can I park in Highgate?

There is a lot of residential parking in Highgate, most of which is without charge on Sunday. However, we cannot guarantee availability of parking on any particular road
