AN ICON, EVOLVED

The Classic Soft Shell Jacket was the first we ever made back in 2005. Then came the Classic Winter Jacket - the ideal garment for winter base miles, with the ability to withstand the harshest conditions. Its long awaited successor had been evolved for the modern rider, incorporating a raft of updated rider-inspired features including a new GORE-TEX INFINIUM™ fabric, making this version our most dependable bad weather jacket.

Key Features

GORE-TEX INFINIUM™

Gore has been at the vanguard of performance fabric technology since 1976, creating garments that allow their wearers to go further. Their latest INFINIUM™ fabric technology uses a three-layer structure that perfectly balances breathability with protection from wind, rain and roadspray.

CHEST VENTS

If the tempo or the temperature rise, the men’s jacket features dual chest vents that compliment the breathable fabric by letting cool air in and allowing excess heat and moisture to escape. As well as helping to maintain a regular body temperature, the vents can be used as pockets for smaller essentials.

STORM CUFFS

A simple yet steadfast solution to keep the wind out and the warmth in. High-stretch storm cuffs provide protection from the ever-changing weather during the colder months and form an airtight seal with winter gloves to keep your hands warmer for longer.

EASY ACCESS POCKETS

Two rear pockets as opposed to the usual three provide easy access for gloved hands, as well as more space for extra winter essentials. Even with all the food you’ll need to fuel your ride, there’s still space for tools and extra insulation to keep you warm during your ride.

360° REFLECTIVITY

Stand out and stay safe. Reflective trims on the shoulders, zips, pockets, and arm, vastly enhance visibility in low light. You’ll light up the night on post sunset rides, with an added reflective strip on the back sitting right in a driver’s line of sight, further improving visibility on the road.

SKY HIGH IN SCOTLAND:

Britain is not renowned for its climbs but the Scottish Highlands are home to an exception. Overlooked by imposing faces of rock that rank among the oldest on earth, Bealach na Bà is an old drovers’ road that now sees more cyclists than sheep climb its slopes.

At nine kilometers in length, the ascent, which leads to the remote Applecross peninsula, feels strangely Alpine, and the series of steep hairpins draped spectacularly across the exposed rock near the summit offer views to rival any mountain range.

With weather systems blowing in off the Atlantic Ocean at regular intervals, there are few more dramatic, and challenging, places to ride. In search of the worst of weathers, a band of Rapha wear testers recently took to these hills to test the Classic Winter Jacket to its limit.
