Description

The Pro Team Winter Tights with Pad II are the evolution of a much-loved item of winter cycling clothing by Rapha. Now with increased protection against the elements, these technical tights are designed for cold weather base rides and training sessions.

The tights have a wind-blocking DWR (durable water repellent) fabric all the way up the front-facing panels to ward off the weather, while the breathable fabric on the rear allows body heat to be released if you’re pushing hard on the pedals. This second edition of the tights features a stiffer windblock fabric and improved compression, allowing for a better fit and feel on the bike, while the seat panel is made with an enforced high-resistance fabric. The inner of the tights has a brushed back fleece fabric for a touch of comfort in the cold, while reflective tabs and bars have been placed all over the tights to keep you seen deep into winter.

2 WAIST

Run the tape around the narrowest part of your waist holding the tape horizontally.

Stand with your feet together and measure around the fullest point of the hip, keeping the tape measure horizontal.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice, but Rapha needs to be consistent with sizing Good: Love the full windproof front and typical Rapha all-day comfort. I bought blue by mistake but actually kind of like it now. Not-so-good: 1) Rapha sizing seems to be all over the map now. I'm typically a medium in both the pro and the classic stuff, but these are *very* snug for me in the medium (I'm 5'11" and around 165). I'd go a size up but they'd be about 8" too long then... 2) Rapha used to be understated but these have a huge RAPHA logo on the whole thigh. Not sure why Rapha has decided it needs to plaster it's logo on things now.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Don't need tights....think again! So pleased I took a friend's advice and bought these instead of my usual winter shorts + leg warmers. Previous tights I've had have been really uncomfortable especially on long 5 hours + rides. Not these! I took a chance and wore them first time out on a bike packing weekend in Scotland. This was over 15 hours in saddle and probably half of that in rain and 0-5 degree temperatures. They were fantastic. The pad is really comfortable and the material waterproof. The fit, as with other pro team products, is on small side.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Crackin' tights. I have own a couple of other brands of bib tights and none of them come close to the comfort of the pro team winter tights. They're the kind of garment you put on and forget you're wearing until you get home to discover that you're still warm and dry. Then sit there with a post ride pint and wonder why you didn't just bite the bullet and buy them ages ago! Plus they look fresh.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warm and Comfy Bought these with the sole intention of being warm on evening and Sunday Club rides in November through to when it's time for shorts! The fit is great, the comfort of the pad is great. Wore them on Sunday for a Crossbike sportive with temperatures ranging from 5c at 8am to 10c 2pm - didn't feel any chill on my legs, mud and road spray wasn't a problem either and didn't overheat. They've washed very well too. My 1st Rapha purchase and I'm really impressed. My measurements indicated L but the XL are a better fit on me.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice style and keeping you warm After 10 years of Assos I tried my first pair of Rapha shorts. I like them but there are some things that do not work for me. I like the style, the details and they keep warm. What I like less is the fact that the fabric is a little rigid. Especially in the area of the shammy. Furthermore they are too long for me. So if you are not very slim (1.82 at 77kg) you might have the same issue

Each time I've gone out has been between 0-5 degrees Celsius and never once did I feel like I was under-dressed. The best part about these bibs is the windstopper fabric. I can handle the cold ambient temperature but it's the wind that usually gets to me and so far this has not been an issue.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Bib Tights Purchased these tights about a month ago and as of thus far I am very pleased. First ride in them was honestly terrible. Chamois pad felt bulky and I lost sensation during climbs in an aggressive position. After washing and couple rides, the fit and comfort has only improved. Chamois now feels exceptionally comfortable. Recently went on a solo 71 mile intermediate ride and never lost sensation once. I am 6'4" - 210lbs and they fit me perfect in length & width, but are also tight-very tight forming (but this is my personal preference). If you prefer a looser fit, size up to the XL. Match these tights with any base layer + ls jersey or shadow jacket and you will have a sound winter/deep winter kit.

Hello, whether the black & black/white type has any differences colour of rapha logo & light reflectence (i mean the brightnes) ? Should i take M or L size for Chest 94cm, Waist 84cm, Hips 102cm, Upper thighs 61cm? I'm 165cm tall, 70kg weight, 76cm inseam

I’m around a 30in and 32 length right now because I’ve dropped a bunch of weight to get down to 145. All my other Rapha bids etc are M. If these run small anyway, should I stay at M?

1) I am 6'6" tall, 34" waist and 36" inseam. What size would you recommend? Would the tights be long enough for me and straps not putting pressure on my shoulders? 2) What is the recommended temperature range for these tights and also classic ones?

1) Given the measurements, I'd try a size XL, you should find that they fit well. You might benefit however from purchasing both XL and L and returning one after trying them. 2) I'd recommend wearing these from about 10 degrees celsius and below.
