Description
When riding longer distances, a packable outer layer is crucial to tackling changing conditions. The Explore Lightweight Gilet provides protection from the elements when you need it, and stows away neatly when you don’t. Made from a lightweight 25gsm fabric, it’s one of the lightest outer layers we make. Providing breathable protection, the gilet aids temperature regulation in a range of conditions with a durable water repellency (DWR) treatment for water resistance on wet days. The entire garment packs away tightly into a small side pocket, with pull loops to attach it to your bike or luggage. The styling is minimal to ensure the garment is as light as possible, with a smaller front zip placket and a hem cord without the usual pullers. The back features a hanger loop for quick drying.

A slightly flawed design
Bearing in mind this is an 'Explore' product it has no rear pockets apart from a very small and pointless zip pocket which isn't big enough to hold anything. It's a lot of money quite a basic product.

Almost perfect gilet
Almost perfect gravel gilet. Just need a t-shirt under. Needs a 2-way zip though at least to help access to back pockets!!! baggy fit in my normal size

Good but watch sizing
Good basic gilet, size seems a bit larger than other products from Rapha. I wear medium or large depending on the product and medium usually runs snug. In this case the medium is not as close fitting as I would like and get flapping at the shoulders and rear when I’m in the drops.

I have other Rapha products in Large size and they fit good but this comes up pretty baggy - but disappointed

Great product, as usual
Slightly underwhelmed when opening up the package, as not sure initially the price matched the product. I pretty much always wear a gilet when riding so thought it worth investing in. The gilet is wafer thin/super lightweight. Proved its value once on the bike - as with most of the stuff from Rapha. Just a little too big, and I buy XXL: This is not a snug fit.
Still very pleased with both the purchase and the product. Can't fault the overall design.

Disappointing
The drawstring at the waist turns out to be very flimsy. In actual fact I have not even pulled on it to get a tighter fit and yet one end of the drawstring has come out of the garment completely, rendering it next to useless should one need to use it.

Smart and functional
Very lightweight sizing a little generous for Rapha but more the size I would expect. Nice style which is the most important thing ;-) It just takes care of the wind on those chilly early mornings/days

Get one size smaller than normal
Nice but bigger than Rapha normally is. Wish I had got a medium but didn’t try on before ride. My fault, oh well. Decent product.
