Women's Leggings, Shorts & Trousers
Women's Technical shorts, trousers and leggings for life on and off the bike.
Are the Rapha Women's Leggings padded like cycling bib shorts?
Typically, the leggings in our City and Lifestyle ranges, such as the All-Day Leggings, are unpadded. They are designed for versatility — ideal for short commutes, gym sessions, or casual wear. Because they lack a chamois, they offer a slimmer, more natural silhouette off the bike. For longer rides where you need padding, we recommend pairing them with our Women's Padded Liners or choosing from our dedicated Cycling Tights collection, which feature integrated women 's-specific chamois pads.
How do Rapha leggings and jeans handle visibility in low light?
Safety is cleverly integrated into the design so it doesn't compromise the aesthetic. On many of our city-focused jeans and leggings, the interior of the right leg features a reflective Rapha logo or high-visibility pink piping. When you roll up your cuff to keep it away from the chain, you reveal these safety elements. This allows you to stay visible to traffic during your evening commute but maintain a sophisticated, understated look once you step into a shop or office.
Do Rapha trousers include a pocket for a bike lock?
Yes, several of our city-specific trousers and jeans include a reinforced rear pocket designed specifically to hold a compact D-lock. This reinforcement prevents the weight and hard edges of the lock from tearing the fabric over time. Additionally, the front pockets are cut deeper than average to ensure your phone or keys don't slide out while your legs are in motion on the bike.
Are these leggings suitable for indoor cycling or spin classes?
Absolutely. While they are designed for the city, the All-Day Leggings are perfect for indoor training. Because they are made from a high-wicking technical fabric rather than standard cotton-rich leggings, they move sweat away from your body much faster. The absence of a thick chamois (pad) actually makes them more comfortable for some riders during high-cadence spin classes where a traditional thick pad can sometimes feel too bulky.
How are the pockets designed to fit a woman’s shape?
On our city trousers and jeans, we’ve redesigned the traditional five-pocket layout. The front pockets are cut deeper and flatter to ensure that even when you are seated on a saddle, your belongings don’t create uncomfortable pressure points against your hips. On the leggings, the side-thigh pocket is positioned specifically to sit in the dead zone of your leg’s movement — meaning your phone stays perfectly still while your muscles work around it.
