Women's Core Rain Jacket£75.00

The new standard in lightweight outer layers

The Core Rain Jacket is the ideal outer layer for rides with a chance of rain and wind. Extremely lightweight, it folds down small to comfortably fit in your back pocket, ready to be whipped out when it starts raining or the wind picks up. Colour matched throughout, the jacket has a clean, refined finish with collar tipping and a subtly stitched-in Rapha armband.

The jacket has fully taped seams and an AquaGuard® zip for waterproofing. Six ventilation holes under the armpits allow heat to escape if you’re riding hard while the on-bike fit is aided by an adjustable draw cord at the hem and elasticated inner cuffs, which ensure a perfect fit on your wrists. Reflective elements have also been applied to the sleeves and rear for improved visibility on the roads.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Getting you out the door Winter is tough to get out as we all know. And even at 20 degrees, I can sweat. Than I get cold, really cold. Stopping for coffee helps but doesn’t last. I actually put my Core Rain Jacket on right when we start and take it off as soon as I warm up. After our coffee stop, it goes back on for a bit. At the end of our ride when calories are low and you get that chill. Yep, back on. It doesn’t rain much in Bend so I’m excited to travel and see how it works in the wet but for keeping me warm and getting me out the door. It’s perfect. Also, I think it runs true to size.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Terrific Rain Jacket Love the light weight of this jacket. Only worn once - on a chilly, misty day. Added a base layer plus a jersey and the set worked perfectly for my ride.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very breathable and great fit Carry all the time and used in rain and as a warming coat after café stop and perfect. Keeps you dry and warm without sweating. Worth the cash. Only a very minor thing as I have a long body and short legs it could be an inch longer but still does the job.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well fit rain jacket I bought this a few weeks ago and took the jacket out last week on a cold rainy ride. I fit well in my winterjacket pocket. When the hard rain started I put the jacket on and I was save from the rain and the wind could not do any harm. It fill well, the arms were long enough, the back side of the jacket long enough to cover the bottom.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Rain Jacket and Wind Protection I bought the jacket in red. Very flattering fit and color. I wore it on a two hour ride of constant rain in about 40 degrees Fahrenheit. My jersey was completely dry.

Will the jacket stay waterproof after a few washes? Would I need to re-proof it? If so how often? Thanks

Asked by: Janice236
Hi, this jacket has a high waterproof rating and should be water proof after various washes as long as you fallow our care instructions. Though it is always advisable to treat waterproof garments in order to prolong the garment's longevity.

Could you tell me the length of the jacket in medium measuring the front, top to bottom please? I usually find women's cycling jerseys/jackets too short.

Asked by: Julia J
On a size small from the top of the collar to bottom of the hem the length is 56.5cm XXS- 53.5cm XS- 55cm S- 56.5cm M- 58cm L- 59.5cm XL- 61cm

Do I buy the Souplesse rain shell or the Core rain jacket? I have soft shells that I wear in the winter already but want something to keep me dry. Your thoughts please.

Asked by: Joanneness
Both of these garments will keep you dry. The Souplesse Rain jacket is more fitted and more robust. The Core Rain jacket is a lighter garment and more packable.

Does it really fit easily into a jersey pocket? I'm looking for something to take on long rides in the Colorado mountains (Independence Pass, Pikes Peak, Vail). Also, how is breathability? Does it flap around in the wind going downhill?

Asked by: 12manycookies
Hi, this jacket does indeed fit into a jersey pocket. It is breathable considering its function as a rain jacket and when zipped up it does not flap around at all.

I'm wishing to buy the core rain jacket.. What would be the best size. I'm a typical size 12, will a medium rain jacket fit over the long sleeve core Jersey also in a twelve. Many thanks
