Great waterproof jacket
Was expecting great things from this jacket and not been disappointed so far. I have ridden in some pretty horrendous conditions the last few weeks and it's kept me completely dry and comfortable and has plenty of room for layering up. The hood drawcord is particularly good the way it cinches around the face and neck to really hug your head and is comfortable with helmet over the top.

Explore LW GT Jacket first use
I ordered one size larger so I can underlayering, and that worked perfectly for me. First use was a 2 hour ride in continuous rain, strong wind, zero Celsius. That was great, super confortable, totally weather proof. Of course I"ve sweated a bit, that moisture condensed inside, but that was not so dramatic, as in a average rain jacket, the most part of that transpired through the fabric, the outer surface was practicaly dry, when I at arriving home just shaked it a bit, amazing. I've not trusted the zipped pockets, so tested them, I put into each of them a tissue paper, one zipped, the other left open. Result: after 2 hour ride in cont. rain both of them were completely dry.Fantastic. It can be folded into very small package too. So 5 star and recommend to everyone, who would like to have a great, lightweigth, comfortable, good packable rain jacket.

Minor zipper issues, otherwise perfect
Great product. Ligthweight, breathable and great fit for on and off bike use. Bonus points two symmetrical pockets. The main zipper is a bit flimsy and it gets jammed sometimes. I would have expected a bit better zipper quality. Otherwise no complaints

Sizing is great
Sizing is a lot better for the bigger set person Rapha seems to be getting this at last.
Quality is on par with all the Rapha products the lightweight version is much appreciated losing non of the attributes in the process

All the mentioned key features apply. My only issue is the hood: fits reasonably well, but only stays in place properly with the front zipper all the way up.

Hi Rapha, Whats the difference between the Gore-Tex Infinium Jacket, the Gore-Tex Explorer Jacket and the Gore-Tex lightweight explorer jacket?
The Explore GORE-TEX Lightweight Jacket is just a lighter version of the Explore GORE-TEX Jacket.
The Explore GORE-TEX Jacket has an adjustable snap-up hem to prevent bunching on the bike (the lightweight version has this too). This jacket (and the lightweight version) also has an adjustable hood that fits under a helmet and two hand pockets.
The Trail GORE-TEX Infinium Jacket is similar in weight to the Explore GORE-TEX Jacket and has a hood that fits over a helmet rather than under. The Infinium shell is not waterproof but it is highly water resistant. It is also a bit longer than the Explore Jackets to provide increased coverage on the bike and features two chest pockets (one internal and one external).

Does the jacket pack up into one of it's own pockets for storage or will I need to get a separate bag?
Hello, this jacket does not pack up into one of its own pockets. If you would like to pack this in a bag you will need to supply it and we don't recommend storing it in a compressed way for extended periods of time.
