Classic jersey with a reflective band
I have several Brevet jerseys, in the older versions the deep cargo pocket is perfect for storing arm warmers and gilet after an early start and extra food etc. The front zipped pocket is perfect for cash, bank card or of course your brevet card.
In this new version the cargo pocket is accessed via small zip at the side of the traditional pockets and the zip is too small to get your stuff in properly, you need to empty it to get the first thing you put in back out and it is too small. There is no front pocket either, honestly it’s little more than a classic jersey with a reflective stripe on it.
It’s like it has been designed by someone who had been told about long distance cycling but has never actually got on a bike.

Lots of changes from original Brevet Jersey
Many interesting changes to the original Brevet jersey design. Fabric is much lighter and the construction of the jersey pockets is changed to some sort of synthetic fabric instead of an additional layer of the wool/poly fabric. Fit is very similar to original design. So far so good, but I think might not be as warm in the low 60F to 50F range. I'll look forward to trying this out in an upcoming 300K. I do miss the wool content - the original Brevet Jersey was/is my favorite Rapha design.

Not the Same Brevet As Before
I like the color and the fit. I own an older Brevet jersey and a lightweight Brevet jersey. I am comparing this with the regular Brevet. This jersey's material felt cheaper and not well made as the previous versions. I do like the color combination and fit but the material was not up to par.

A much improved jersey IMHO
As always a high quality jersey. I really like the new colour & rear pocket layout. I never liked the rear zipped ballast pocket. The new 2 side entry zipped pockets are a great idea. Also the rear pockets are made of a stretch fabric, not the Merino fabric of the jersey which is much better and makes the jersey pack smaller. An excellent update.
From a personal perspective I would prefer the rear to just be 2 large pockets rather than 3 small pockets, as it's easier to access or put stuff in on the go. Also if i would prefer the sleeves to be the same lenght as the pro team jerseys but thats IMHO

Excellent Jersey
I bought the Indigo version in the sale and absolutely love it. Its a typical high quality merino wool jersey from Rapha, with the very luminescent brevet stripes.
This iteration of the brevet jersey has slightly longer sleeves in the shirt sleeved version and I think they fit better than the traditional vesrion which i also have.
The rear pockets have been redesigned with the large ballast pocket sitting on the outside of the rear jersey pockets, split 1/3 to 2/3rds. I think I prefer this to the original version where the ballast pocket sits above and in front of the rear pockets where you can end up with a damp jacket or gilet sitting against your back.
A nice big curved zipper on the front is easy to get hold of.
Overall this jersey has improved on what was already a brilliant product.

Nice update to my favorite Jersey
I hadn't realized the pockets and cut of the brevet jersey had changed until I received this years version. I like the different fabric used on the pockets, it feels stronger and more secure. The jersey fabric has a softer feel than previous brevet jersey. Feels a little lighter but no less rugged.

Good quality. Good fit. Nice rear pockets. Love the high viz on the chest. Shame the hi viz on the arm is not on the offside for UK riders.

Still not quite where it could be
I have had several Brevet Jerseys, of which I never owned too long before moving them on. I like the concept but there has always been some kind of trade off, the most recent iteration with the redesign of the rear pocket is no exception. The fabric seems to be a very strange composition, if it were more like the pro team fabric - it would have been a winner.

What's the difference between this piece of clothing and the MEN'S CLASSIC JERSEY? Also, what's the recommended temperature range for wearing this item?
The main difference is just the look of the two.
The Brevet Jersey has two reflective stripes across it. There are also two zippered pockets on the back in addition to the regular back pockets.
The Classic Jersey does not have the reflective stripes, and it has only one zippered pocket in the back in addition to the regular back pockets.
They are both the same fit/measurements though.
