Knee warmers dramatically increase the year round versatility of your favourite cycling shorts, allowing you to stay warm when the temperature drops way below the point where other riders will reach for their tights.

Made from a high-stretch merino blend fabric that has a soft, brushed Terry inner for greater warmth than our regular knee warmers, the Classic Thermal Knee Warmers offer enough coverage to make an ideal addition when conditions turn colder, or when warming up and down before or after a race.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good pair of warmers Does the job. The merino is a fantastic fabric. It’s warm and breathable. You pull it back well up the thighs and it didn’t move during riding. I have large calves and the fabric is stretchy enough so that you don’t end up with elastic marks. The fit is difficult to get right. I’m 173cm/70kg and have athletic legs. This time I ordered medium + large together and returned the medium. While I wear size small for the brevet/classic jerseys and I’m no skinny. Go wonder the fit system at Rapha ? Small piece of fabric that is so essential for mid season rides.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warm and breathable I usually wear the merino knee warmers (which are super, by the way). By way of comparison, the classic warmers are slightly heavier, and a bit longer. Warm and comfortable. The thigh gripper could be a bit more robust (personal preference), but wearing them under bib shorts keeps them secure. Nicely breathable, too; keeps you warm without being clammy.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Light and comfortable I was looking for a high end pair of knee warmers that were to thick and heavy but kept the chill out when needed.. The Rapha Classic Thermal Knee Warmers are just what I was looking for. They are slightly longer than other knee warmers which is a feature that I like as the can be pulled up high under my shorts and still cover my knees effectively. I only wish they came in XXS or XS as they are looser than ideal

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfortable and warm I've worn these thermal knee warmers about 20 times now, mostly in conditions about 8-12 degrees with my ProTeam bib shorts. They fit me well, i sized down to a small, even though i wear a size large short. The top gripper is just right, they don't slide down your leg. They are quite long on me, (170cm tall) leaving only 5cm or so between my ProTeam regular socks and the bottom of the knee warmer. The fabric is soft and comfortable, and surprisingly warm for their thickness. So far they have washed very well, no signs of wear, shrinking or stretching. At first I thought a better choice would be a synthetic "roubaix" type fleece as i've had in the past, but these are nice. Smaller folks my find these too large, Rapha likely needs to add a smaller size. I would have tired the ProTeam Shadow model, but they have been out of stock for over a year, so i ordered these instead.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Well Made & Warm These are Rapha's latest version of knee warmers. Pros: They are well made, keep you warm and stay in place. Cons: They are much longer than the previous model and are almost as long as leg warmers. They can be a little too warm as a result.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Versatile and warm Bought these to bridge the gap between winter tights and bib shorts - wore with the thermal bibs and they stay snuggly in place, covering almost down to the top point of the socks. Excellent item!

Is the seam that sits below the knee supposed to be in front or back of knee?

Is the sizing similar to the previous version? (with the white stripe) as I had those in a medium and they came up abit large, I seem at the lower end of the medium sizing chart.&nbsp;
