Rudi Altig was a track cyclist who switched to road in 1962, following back-to-back world pursuit titles. In his debut season he won the Vuelta a España and the Tour de France points classification. The ‘Giant of Mannheim’ Altig also excelled in the classics, with victories at the 1964 Tour of Flanders and Milan-Sanremo, in 1968. Altig was a machine - when he was paired with Jacques Anqueti in the two-man time trial at the Trofeo Baracchi of 1969, the pair won by nine seconds. Altig is celebrated in this limited edition cap, available from the Rapha Mobile Clubhouse Taiwan.
