    INTRODUCTION

    Fire and cobblestone

In tribute to the Queen of the Classics, we ride routes inspired by the cobbles and landscapes of Northern France. We emulate our heroes on the road but make sure to finish our ride with time to watch them race over the cobbles en route to the velodrome. To help you keep a level head whilst riding A Day in Hell, each rider receives a limited edition cap on the startline.

    Secure your place

    • There are 50 spaces on this year’s event so move quickly to avoid missing the break.
    • Each rider receives a special edition A Day in Hell cap at the start before tackling the challenging route.
    • All tickets will be sold on a first come first served basis.

    The route

Plotting a route through the southwest, A Day in Hell takes in a selection of Sydney’s roughest cobbled lanes and, quite aptly, a sprint on the velodrome. Rider sign-on begins at Rapha Sydney from 4.30pm; the ride leaves at 5.30pm.

The route covers a distance of 40km before finishing at Rocks Brewery in time to watch the race proper unfold from 8.30pm.

In order to navigate the course, riders will be provided a GPX file, we recommend you upload this to your computer. Since we’ll be riding into the evening, lights are mandatory. On arrival at Rocks Brewery, cold beers and frites will be served as we watch the great race.

    FAQ

Can I download a GPX of the route?

Yes, this year we will be sending participants a .gpx file a few days before the ride. We recommend uploading the .gpx file to your bike computer.

Will there be a feed stop?

No, there will be no feed station but food and drink will be served at Rocks Brewery as we watch the race.

    Is the ride supported?

There will be ride food and drink provided at the finish, but the ride itself is not supported and we recommend taking at least two inner tubes, some food and plenty of water. We also recommend riding wide tyres, at least 25-27mm and with robust puncture protection.

Can I park at Rapha Sydney?

Parking is limited near the Clubhouse, we recommend you ride to the start if possible.
