Description

Cold feet can lead to miserable winter cycling and keeping your extremities warm is vital for successful winter training. The Rapha Winter Socks have been designed to keep your feet comfortable even during the coldest days on the bike. Made from a thicker yarn than Rapha’s traditional socks, season-specific features include a padded toe and footbed for maximum warmth.

The natural fibre absorbs sweat to keep your feet dry and the socks have flat, handlocked stitching in the toes to prevent the seams rubbing. A contrast line graphic runs around the top of the foot and the socks have Rapha text printed inside the ankle cuffs. The text is only visible when the cuffs are folded down.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointing. Poor quality control. I have bought these socks (XL) before and they were the best socks I had ever bought. So I was happy to would get them again. Bought 3 pairs of XL (EU 47+) again, the biggest available. I take a EU44.5 / US 10.5 shoe. The 3 pairs I bought I actually struggle get my foot into them. They are ridiculously small. Very disappointed in the quality control from Rapha lately. I bought 2 brevet jerseys expecting the same quality and material as the one i purchase a few years ago. The material is completely different. like a long sleeved jersey, nothing like the heavy brevet jersey from before.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Winter Socks Review These are heavy weight socks especially in the toes. Wore these in 32 degrees F temperatures with overshoes and my feet remained very warm. If you don't have much room in the toes of your shoes, these socks may be a little tight. I have the room so these socks are very comfortable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy care, not too thick Have worn these four or five days a week for a month, on an outdoor trainer. They keep my feet comfortable down to about 25 deg. F without shoe covers. They are a little thicker than my usual socks but still fit in my shoes without feeling tight. The wool is very soft, not itchy at all. I've been machine watching with the rest of my cycling clothes, tumble drying on low with no shrinking. I have a size 47 shoe and the xl fit is about right.

They're bulkier than comparable wool versions from Icebreaker and Smart Wool and they slip, which is exactly what you don't want in a cycling sock. Would not buy these again.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Socks warm and cozt with a padded foot bed. Wash them a million times and they will still be the right shape and still warm. Used my last pair for 4 years before upgrading to a new pair. I'm US 10,5 and L is fitting nicely but snug.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Warm and cozy but not a performance sock Very soft and easy to get on. However they are a little bulky and do not stay up on my ankle. They are loose on my feet. The tops fold over easy and are visible under tights. I find I do not use them much for cycling but I like to wear them around the house for comfort. I would have liked a sock that was a little tighter fit and a little more stronger elasticity. I think the weave could have been denser.

How does the size of the cuff compare to your regular pro sock?
