The Best or nothing
The latest edition of these trousers is a significant improvement over the former one, already very good. The fabrics now have more stretch and the pockets are improved. Particularly cool is the side pocket which elegantly stores the phone in a convenient place for cycling. Always impressive how this resists to dirt, how easy it is to clean and how, in this version, the water repelling surface works. Equally impression the reduced packing space of these, making them ideal for travel. Perfect also as comfortable smart casual business outfit. Hence the old Mercedes slogan seems appropriate.

Big disappointment
Very disappointed with these trousers. I have 3 other pairs of technical trousers and this new version is far removed from the previous versions in terms of details, quality and style. Cost cutting is very evident as details such as pockets and material feels cheap. Everything about the new version feels cheap compared to v1, even the small detail like the pink pocket trim is now cut straight rather than to a point in an effort to reduce the cost of the trousers. The trousers are a combination of the technical trousers and trail shorts but with the great features of both removed. This cost cutting is a continuing trend with Rapha products lately, features being removed and cheaper materials seems to be the way things are going. I bought these in the sale and they’re worth the £50 odd I paid, definitely not worth £130. Very disappointing as I’ve been a rapha fan since the 1st classic jersey.

Used to be great but no longer
I was living in those trousers for the last years. But no longer. Cheaper material, worse cut, less sizes, phone zip pocket placed in the visible place, back pockets sewn on the top of the trouser material.
This is not Rapha it is just the logo. This happens in all Rapha products. Pity.

Downgraded from the previous version.
I purchased these trousers with the expectation that they would be identical to the Technical Trousers I bought a year ago, but they were completely different and slightly worse.

The wrong trousers
Reflective graphic should be visable on right leg when lifted away from chain.
However located incorrectly on left leg!

Its not like the previous versions, but its okay.
Here are the differences: straight fit, not tapered. Scoop pockets instead of side ones, however, I do prefer side pockets as its easier to access my phone, cards, etc. Press on button closure instead of a button and eyelet. The material has a softer hand feel than the previous which also makes it less susceptible to creases.
I think its still an okay pants, would not shell out for it at full price. And if you miss the taper fit you can get any decent tailor to do it for you (just factor that into the price).

Prefer the Old Style!
Prev version had nicer lining, was a little thicker, and had a different cut altogether. These feel way more lightweight. Also the zips have gone from the pockets which is a massive loss!

Shrinkflation in practice.
Thinner fabric, pockets not lined, no zips on side pockets. This is shrinklatiom for sure. The previous model looked more like a pair of chinos. This fabric is different, no as premium. Rapha are definitely saving money in the production process but charging the same price.
It’s a shame I loved the previous trousers. Had two pairs. With the newer model I bought the brown and green, I like the colour. It’s a shame. Please bring back the previous model rapha. It was a perfect pair of trousers!

A backwards step
Bring back the old ones. These are a less good fit and less functional (no zip pockets). There was no need for Rapha to replace the original technical trousers.

Too baggy
The fit of these pants isn’t consistent with previous models. They are much more baggy than previous models and didn’t find them suitable for cycling in. Pity because the materials are an upgrade from before. Felt great but too baggy.

Despec’ed - step backwards
Fit is more casual, cheaper fabric + less sizing options. Really is a backward step from previous iterations

Good, but not quite great
Nice quality and good fit. But still not close to the old Randonne pants that had a slimmer cut and looked less hiking/technical...more casual and worked better for the days in the office. But still ok I guess!

Comfortable but not great style.
Comfortable, but think the style could improve, specifically the width of the leg opening, which seems too wide and makes me feel like I look like my father-in-law. However, they’re the only pants I brought on the trip I’m currently on, and have worked well for long-haul flights, getting around the city, hanging in the café, and nights out.

New design not as good as previous one.
The new design is quite different and not as slick specially the back pockets.
Still a good pair of pants but the previous design was much better.

A bit disappointing
OK, but not sure they're worth the money. Fabric isn't great. Reflective log is on the inside of the left leg, but it's the right I'm going to roll up to keep clear from chain ring. Not up to expectations. Every other bit of Rapha kit I've got is well put together and thought out, this is not.

QC on the reflective material
QC on the reflective material as its on the wrong leg; left and not right despite the product description indicating it would be on the right side (which makes sense given its the drivetrain side). Disappointed considering the rest of the trousers is solid (material, fit etc).

Not at all what we expected
The trousers were to broad in the legs, the randonné pants had a much better fit.

Good pair of trousers for every day use
I bought a pair of these about 18 months ago, the old design with three zipped pockets. They are good, although the fabric is showing signs of wear - the elastic fibers are breaking and poking out. I was going to buy a new pair, but was disappointed to find that the new version only has one zipped pocket and Rapha doesn't make my size anymore (34, 34). It seems that Rapha clothes are only for people of average height now. (The stars are for the old design.)

Still a great pair but not the best
I love the available size options and the pair I ordered were true to size. These are the 3rd revisions and I think the previous ones were of better quality and design. The green is not as dark as they look on the website.

Best product Rapha makes
The greatest product Rapha ever made. And this new tech trousers they’ve improved upon and it’s even better. It’s more durable and even more water resistant. There’s an extra pocket with a zipper and the pant’s front pockets are actual trouser pockets which allow me to wear the pants in more formal setting. Absolutely love these pants. I have 3 pairs.

Different than the originals but still awesome
Feels lighter and smoother than the original tech trousers, pockets are different and moved the reflector to the left side (Better for me as we ride on the right lane at Tel Aviv). Love them but they do feel like a step down from the previous model.

Nice pants.
I'm 5ft10 85 kg. Got size 34W and 30L - good fit a bit tight at waist... found the sizing to be pretty consistent with other pants I own. Nice fit, good fabric. I never had the old version of these so am rating them as they stand not against a ghost. Have done some hikes in them, good for walking bit of stretch in the fabric, water doesn't seep in easily and dries quickly.

Good, but sizing options too limited.
Excellent finish and durable so far, but the choice of sizes isn't adequate for a population of fit, active cyclists. I'm far from the slimmest cyclist I know, but have to wear the smallest waist size available, 29". The longest trouser length available with this waist size is just slightly shorter than I would like. Many others must have similar problems.

Trousers with perfect fit and length
I love this trousers. Length and fit is perfect for me (size 30/28) as I hate trousers that are too long and wide at the bottom. I am 175cm tall with 65kg. Will use them for hiking and long walks. Material is great, soft, stretchy and light. Color is on point as well (grey, beige). Got them for around 55 euros, which is cheap for this kind of quality.

Not as good as the old style
Not as good as the old style technical trousers. The material feels thinner and fewer zip pockets means they're not as secure when riding. I usually order a longer leg size so I can easily turn up the bottom of the leg, I was sent a size too short for my order so turning up the trousers now makes me look stupid.
