Souplesse Lightweight Rain Gilet

Souplesse Lightweight Rain Gilet

Changeable conditions pose a dilemma to the cyclist: you want to be protected from the worst of the weather whilst having the option to layer down, should conditions improve.

15 February 2018

For days when the weather dial is spinning, the Souplesse Lightweight Rain Gilet is our lightest water-repellent layer, protecting against the elements before packing down easily into a jersey pocket.

An evolution of the Souplesse Rain Gilet, this lighter teammate is constructed with a revolutionary three-layer fabric developed by Rapha over the last two years. Despite its feathery weight, design details are not compromised. To keep light rain and road spray out, a waterproof lining on the outside of the three rear pockets combines with a spray panel and internally taped seams. The front and side panels hold reflective graphics for added visibility in low light. Under brighter skies, the gilet can be worn unzipped for maximum ventilation since the front placket features the same velcro tabs as the Souplesse Race Cape. The two-way zipper means either half of the gilet can be opened with one hand while riding.
