REST DAY, RACE GRADE

Your race day uniform is one thing. Down time and training miles are something else, a chance to mix it up and show your own style – with proven Pro Team performance to match.

Rapha joined Legion of LA and riders from the local scene for a post-race recovery spin in sunny Southern California. Wearing the all-new Pro Team Training Jersey – a new piece that provides all-day comfort with no compromise on performance, available for the first time in men’s and women’s – Legion founder Justin Williams and his brother Cory showed us around the city they call home.

On a moderately warm Monday, USA Road National Champion Justin Williams meets brother Cory along with teammates Isaiah Oliver and Diego Binatena. For this recovery ride, the Legion riders are joined by Avry Cay Howes, Joyce Monton and Isabel King. Like Justin, Howes is spinning the legs after racing at the weekend, while King comes back from injury.

Rolling out toward the Hollywood Hills at an easy pace, even if it isn’t race day it still matters that the jersey does the job – especially with the Lopez Canyon climb on the cards. The jersey’s front features a lightweight, open-structured fabric for quick wicking and temperature-regulating breathability. On the back, a close-knit fabric provides sun protection and support for full pockets.

Comfort conquers all on training days. Descending Kagel, the supportive wrap-around grippers on the sleeves and hem keep everything in its right place. Contrast sleeves and the bold Rapha logo make an eye-catching statement, ready for a return to the city.
