Crit Collection

A world away from three-week tours, criterium racing is a distinct discipline deserving of dedicated kit. Created specifically for all-out efforts between the barriers, the Crit collection returns with a new reflective design modelled on road markings flashing beneath racers’ wheels.

More than any other form of racing, criteriums are made for crowds. From iconic US events like Tulsa Tough to the customary round of post-Tour kermesses, short laps make for better viewing while hoardings either side of the track create a cacophony of noise come the final lap.

To test the new collection we travelled to Los Angeles where we asked Californian state champion Cory Williams and amateur racer Avry Howes for their take on the magic of crit racing.

“It’s not about who’s strongest. It’s who’s smartest.”

READ THE ROAD

Road markings, signposts and streetlights are all part of the furniture at an inner city crit race, and inspiration for our all-new surface design.

“When I’m racing a crit, I feel like I’m at the Tour de France. The crowds are so loud that I just know I’m gonna go fast.”

– Cory Williams

DUAL-LAYER POCKET

A small opening allows you to slide your race number beneath the outer mesh layer, where it will still be visible, or pin it to the suit without damaging it.

“You have to play your cards right to get across the line first. Understanding the tactics it’s going to take to get out of a spot and make your way to a better position is key.”

– Avry

LESS IS MORE

The Crit Aero Suit and Bib Shorts are cut longer in the leg and feature a streamlined single seam construction for speed and comfort.

“These courses are fast and dangerous. It’s about staying close to your teammates and putting a team performance together.”

– Cory

QUICK AS A FLASH

Modelled on the road markings that flash beneath racers’ wheels, the reflective applications on the shoulders and back of the Aero Suit and Jersey combine with bright colours to ensure you stand out even as the light fades.
