PRO TEAM GHOST
Introducing Ghost – a radical new group of designs made for extreme heat.

GHOST ICE DYE
Pro Team Ghost is our pinnacle system for racing and training in extreme heat. Now featuring a unique print created by melting ice through dye and letting gravity get to work, applied to a bold new fabric design that combines strategically placed perforations with interior channels to reduce skin contact and maximise convective cooling.

Pro Team Ghost
“July in France, it's hot as hell. Everything around is just radiating heat. The roadside is packed, the tarmac's baking. It's intense.” – Tom Southam, Sports Director, EF Pro Cycling
Consisting of Pro Team Ghost Jersey, Bib Shorts and the Ghost Suit – the capsule represents Rapha’s dedication to innovation in this ever-evolving sport.
Second Skin
Ghost’s material technology breathes even when wet. An ultralight and ultra-thin fabric that requires less force to stretch – it moves more intuitively with the body. Fewer panels in the jersey and suit upper also enhance feel and durability, reducing irritation and weight.

Free Flowing
The Pro Team Ghost Bib Shorts are built with fully woven open-mesh panels and the seam lines are mapped for optimal airflow to the legs.
The Ghost shorts use the same proprietary ‘seamless’ chamois as the Pro Team Bibs III.
A stripped back upper bib section and leg gripper woven into the fabric ensures ultralight engagement.

“The open weave structure and advanced elastomer yarn maintains air flow, even when wet.”
– Anne Weir, Rapha Senior Materials Developer
Into The Furnace
Rapha’s product team trialled a range of prototype material technologies on athletes in the climate chamber.
Performing FTP tests within a 48°C heat index – using an existing Rapha jersey as the benchmark – the materials team settled on a fabric that not only increased heat loss and airflow, but also felt lighter to the wearer.

Weightless
Rapidly prototyping the jersey allowed Rapha’s in-house Atelier to create a radically minimal pattern construction.
By reducing the number of panels both comfort and fabric integrity was increased – with the skinsuit upper section built from one piece of material.
Additionally, where there are seams or darts, they are reverse stitched – meaning they’re on the outside of the garment for total comfort.
As temperatures soar and the sport’s speed and intensity rises, athletes and teams need to adapt. Material and garment technology must evolve with these conditions too.
Pro Team Ghost – not a fabric, but a feeling.
