      Contemporary tracksuit jacket for insulation and utility in the city

      Taking inspiration from two of Rapha’s most well-known garments, the Track Jacket is the perfect garment for gliding round town on cooler days. The collar, rear, shoulders and hem are made using Rapha’s merino jersey fabric for comfort, while the front panels are made from Rapha’s Classic Softshell material, for both wind resistance and a contemporary, contrast texture.

      A ribbed ‘varsity’ collar makes for a snug fit and allows the Track Jacket to be used as a mid-layer in bad weather. There are two concealed front zip pockets and an internal valuables pocket.

      Body sizing

      Chest: measure underneath the armpits with the tape measure straight around.
      Back Length: measure from the bottom of where your collar sits/base of the neck to the bottom of your spine.
      Arm length: measure from where the seam would start at shoulder to bottom of the wrist.

It's the perfect year round Bay Area jacket and is appropriate for most occasions. I wear it almost every day. The only down side are the pockets are now a knit material which are a little more bulky around the tummy area.

I use this jacket mainly for traveling. The merino wool regulates body temp well. Zipper pockets are excellent for storing small items. Wind proof panels add function and style. It has become my favourite casual jacket.

      Rated 5 out of 5 by from I'll probably never wear this on the bike... ... But it's still a great jacket. Surprisingly for Rapha the cut is very generous ( and long), if you want to use this as a 'working' mid layer I would recommend sizing down. Its a great warm top that will get lots of use.

      I'm thinking about this for light touring use. What does it roll down to and how much does it weigh?

      It is styled as the the perfect garment for gliding round town on cooler days. Unfortunately the Track jacket is not designed to be rolled down or packed.
