A print from the archives of a design great
Rapha and Herman Miller have teamed up once again to produce a series of limited edition cotton cycling caps, inspired by the landscapes of southern Australia.
The Limestone Coast Cap’s print was created as part of Alexander Girard’s first collection of wallpapers for Herman Miller, and was chosen for its dusty tones that mirror the sandhills parallel to the coast. Founded in 1905, Herman Miller nurtured the talents of designers Charles and Ray Eames, Girard, and many others, becoming the leading manufacturer of of modern furniture, textiles, and industrial design. From 1951 to 1973, designer Alexander Girard served as the head of the Herman Miller Textile Division, designing over three hundred textiles in multiple colourways.
