A print from the archives of a design great
Rapha and Herman Miller have teamed up once again to produce a series of limited edition cotton cycling caps, inspired by the landscapes of southern Australia.
The print featured on the Adelaide Cap was part of the first textile line created for Herman Miller by Alexander Girard, in which he explored unexpected colour combinations. Founded in 1905, Herman Miller nurtured the talents of designers Charles and Ray Eames, Girard, and many others, becoming the leading manufacturer of modern furniture, textiles, and industrial design. From 1951 to 1973, designer Alexander Girard served as the head of the Herman Miller Textile Division, designing over three hundred textiles in multiple colourways.
