As part of a special edition collection commemorating the career of the great Fausto Coppi, Rapha offers this luxury cycling jersey. Made in Italy using a thick double-knit Italian merino wool, the jersey features slogans and headlines relating to Coppi’s popularity with the media and the Italian people woven into the fabric. This creates a stunning visual effect that is both subtle and impactful, and which harks back to a time when the printed word took on greater significance and meaning due to a lack of images or video. Of course, the pink colour celebrates Coppi’s five victories at Italy’s greatest race. Made at a factory specialising in high-end knitwear, the jersey is fully-fashioned for a shaped fit that is very comfortable both on and off the bike, while a distinctive rose-silver plated zip and puller echo those used in jerseys of Coppi’s era.
