They are a bit beefier than the road socks to take the abuse of trail riding but do not seem to be too hot to wear. They are easy to pull on, unlike Rapha's entire line of Pro Socks that I have to fight with. As for style, there is none, but in this case it is OK.

They are good looking, the fit is perfect, and they keep my feet warm down to the 30s. I find I don't need my winter booties anymore until I get to freezing temperatures. The description doesn't say if the socks are right or left specific. The socks I received both have an L on the cuff, which may explain why they were on sale. No matter - they fit both feet equally well and are worth full price.

How high are the socks?

The Trail Socks are approximately 17 cm from Gore to the Top of the Cuff in a size L. This height changes by 1 cm between sizes.
