Description

With a waterproof coated main body and leather contrast stripe with cast metal Rapha logo, the Small Travel Backpack will get your daily essentials across the city in style. Key improvements include a new one-piece moulded back panel with channels designed to adapt to your body and promote airflow, as well as a small zipped pocket for keys which can be accessed even when the rain cover is in place.

Maximising the bag’s 15 litre capacity, the backpack features a separate padded sleeve to keep a laptop safe and a quick access front pocket gives you access to smaller items on the go. An internal zipped pocket holds travel documents wherever your trip takes you. The main compartment also features a mesh pocket to house the pack’s hi-vis pink rain cover when not in use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Compact and versatile I've been using the bag for about a month. The first thing you'll notice is that the straps have some structure to them - still soft and padded, but also shaped. If you're like me and often walk around with the pack on one shoulder, this subtle design element is a big plus. The pockets are thoughtfully designed to organize my "stuff," but keep in mind this is the "small" pack. I love it for a day around town - client meetings (laptop/notebook/accessories), plus a change of yoga clothes and waterbottle. BUT if I'm heading out of town for a couple of days, and/or I need to carry all of the above plus my bike shoes, kit and a full change of clothes, I would size up to the larger backpack.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great traveling bag to own Having this backpack for bike commuting for three weeks, I don't think the time is long enough for me to make a fair review on this product yet. It does minimise my back from sweating ridiculously while cycling in the hot afternoon. This feature is really essential for me, at least I look less untidy while rushing into classes. I do hope the website includes more descriptions and photos on the product though. I had to do my own googling for product reviews.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Jury Is Still Out... I bought the very first version of the Backpack 5 years ago and have used it almost daily since. It travelled hundreds of thousands of miles - Roubaix to see Boonen's last race, Paris to the Tour, and traipsed all over Europe. So when the zip finally broke, I immediately ordered the latest version. So far I'm OK with new one, but still miss some of the features of the original. I like the waterproof coating, and like the more sophisticated look, I just hope in a few years the coating does not begin to wear. I'm not a fan of the 1/2 zip opening (I liked the clam shell design better), miss the two outside pockets on the front panel, and really miss the expandable front pocket. And my 15" MacBook Pro does not fit in the padded sleeve. Yes, the description says 13", but so did the original and it still fit. I do love the lightness, and there does seem to be enough pockets to fit all the stuff I carried in the original, just in a different configuration. The new straps are also an upgrade over the original. Overall I do like it, so it's a matter of getting on with the new features over time. Looking forward to new adventures with it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect A perfect bag for commuting. I had the previous fabric version of the backpack which I also thought was great... just a bit difficult to keep clean. The updated version is far more comfortable on the bike and doesn’t absorb sweat, rain and road muck like its predecessor. Also smart enough to carry into a meeting.

Perfect size to fit a laptop, a change of clothes, and a notebook or two. Clever little pockets found throughout and the bright pink storm cover really make you stand out when the rain pours. Top notch bag, Rapha!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great style and comfort Perfect for commuting and city travel. Light, all size pockets for everything (keys, laptop, glasses, wallet) and a really nice and smooth pad. I've used the backpack in the pouring rain and it's completely waterproof.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent, lightweight bag Bag weighs super light, and has really good weight distribution. Extremely comfortable despite chucking a load of stuff in it, which was positively surprising! The massive amount of pocket/compartments are hella useful too. My only gripe would be the black coated zip hardware, which comes off really quickly (less than 2 weeks of usage). The strap buckle fasteners come loose pretty quickly as well.

Pockets and layout are ingenious but exactly what you’d expect from Rapha. And my back pain from the shoulder bag has gone. Magic. Someone really thought about this bag.

We advise cleaning this by wiping it with a damp cloth. We do not recommend washing this in the washing machine.

Hi there. I’m REALLY loving the small travel backpack and am very keen to purchase one. I know it says it fits a 13” laptop, but wondering if I’ll be able to squeeze in my dell 14” ( 326.5 x 226.3 x 18.3 mm (12.85" x 8.91" x 0.72")). Can you confirm?

Key improvements include a new one-piece moulded back panel with channels designed to adapt to your body and promote airflow, as well as a small zipped pocket for keys which can be accessed even when the rain cover is in place. The pockets have been reconfigured to make access to documents, keys, shoes quicker and more compartmentalised so that everything has a place
