Men's Commuter Lightweight Jacket

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great commuter pant Glad to have more casual, commuter wear options from Rapha with the same great quality and reliability of pro wear. These pants are very light-weight, good water repellency (although not water-proof, dries quick). Given it is mainly nylon, does give it a more technical look and rougher feel, but allows it to be durable for its weight and minimal wrinkling. Has a good amount of stretch, but does not feeling flimsy (i.e., has some structure/stiffness). Nice subtle touches, such as the perforations on the inside of the side pockets to allow for ventilation. Zippered pockets. Fit is relaxed and a bit roomier in the crotch area vs. slim fit, which actually makes for a very comfortable wearing pant.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lightweight and smart looking I've tried a number of casual/dress cycling pants, and been close to happy with others made by Giro and Chrome. But not until I tried the Technical Trousers did I understand what the other pants miss. Rapha puts the technical where it should be, in the fabric. Don't give me a bunch of extra zippered pockets, on the thighs, etc., or put flashy or oddly placed logos. Give me a pant that allows me to ride to the office comfortably, and wear at the office comfortably, and then meet a friend for a drink after work. And in these same pants, I'd even feel comfortable heading out for a lunch time ride. Thanks for getting it right Rapha, keep it up. One minor comment, if these were made from 100% recycled polyester or nylon, they would be that much greater.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Fine but also kinda useless They look smart enough on and I'd feel comfortable wearing these around the office or at the pub if I had to. Would prefer them if they tapered more around the ankle. I like the detail when turning up the left trouser leg, but the tab on the back pocket looks cheap and naff (you can hide that). The biggest failing of these trousers is that they're useless in the wet. I thought they would be like golf trousers which keep the wet out, but I was quite in one short downpour and was soaked through immediately and then uncomfortable for the rest of the ride. Don't be fooled by the "technical" name, they're no better than a pair of chinos.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Stylish and practical trousers I love Rapha trousers (comfortable, elegant, functional) and I was looking for another pair. These trousers didn't disappoint. I love the fit and all the little stylish details which make them look great for work. At the same time, the material makes them comfortable for my daily commute which is a must. We often get showers in my area but the material makes these pants suitable for light rainy days. Good addition to my collection ! Only comment for the Rapha team : I bought these pants in the men collection. That's fine with me as I am 6'1 woman but that would be nice and more inclusive to have all articles in the men and women collections. The men collection always tends to have more articles. I think I am not the only woman who will buy more pieces if they were also available and customized for women.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from All-day comfort for work or otherwise My go-to trousers for warmer weather or for casual rides/commutes. Tell a lie, they have probably become my go-to trousers for most things these days. They are incredibly comfortable, mostly because of the stretch. The zip pockets are perfect for keeping things safe then riding (or otherwise) - two in the front, one in the rear. The double button in the waist is very comfortable and not terribly noticeable - a vast improvement on some of the older trousers and shorts. Perhaps they could have a slight taper below the knee, but that is the only thing I would change.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Almost perfect I have about 10 paris of Randonnee trousers. They're my go-to cycling-work uniform. I bought the gray Technical Trousers hoping they would be the replacement for the discontinued Randonnee trousers. They are in every respect except one, the taper of the leg is significantly wider on the Technical Trousers. Not a deal breaker but I'll have mine altered.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Won't Disappoint I bought these because Eagle McMahon wears them. These pants bring it. Amazing material. Strong but workable. I'm 6'1" 190lbs, and 32x34 fit like an absolute dream. Most comfortable pants I've ever worn.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good looking and versatile The lightweight fabric and stretch of these pants are a huge plus. Styling is done well, too -- they look good! I realize Rapha can't make every size, but a 33 would have been ideal. The waist on a 34 is a little big, but the legs on a 32 are a little snug for riding comfort or putting things in your pockets...so I went with the 34 and have to wear a belt. (I'm 6'0"/183cm, 33 waist, 175 lbs/80km). Length for me was perfect off the rack with no adjustments needed. Perfect for hot days around the city (if not wearing shorts) given their comfort and lightness, even with no further rides planned. Very happy with the purchase. 4/5 because of the in-between sizing, loose waist.

what is the gram  weight of the fabric of these pants

Unfortunately we don't have the product weight on file, however the fabric weight is approx. 185 gsm. Based on this we would estimate the total weight of the garment around 500-600g.

RANDONNEE SHORTS Size W36. What size should I wear?

We recommend the same size in these trousers as you wear in the Shorts. to determine the length that you need you will need to measure the length of your inseam. A Regular length would be 32 and a Long length would be 34.

These are compressible to roughly 26 x 15 x 4 cm. They are great to wear for a camping trip if you have the space to include them in your backpack.
