Rated 4 out of 5 by from it's nice but pricey for what it is. A simple but essential piece of cycling kit. Really nice material and a high quality zip that opens from top and bottom. Given there are no pockets the bottom opening zip is essential if you want easy access to pockets.There is no doubt this is a stylish piece of kit, and good value compared to the adventure range etc but it is expensive for something that must cost next to nothing to make. The fabric isn't overy technical and no insulation, waterproofing...it's nice but pricey for what it is. I'm 190cm and 78kg and large is a tight fit. Please don't compare sizes with the other gilet ranges as they just don't match.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better than the prior generation Better than the prior generation for sure. Same weight and materials. But one thing with the prior vest was the collar was much too loose for my liking. Worked well if you had a neck gaiter on but otherwise way too loose. This neck is much more fitted. They updated the arm cuffs, and they do flap less, but they're not perfect. I think Assos products sit better. Still though, excellent vest and I recommend to others. For reference I weigh 152lbs, 6 foot, and wear size medium. Neck size is 15.5 dress shirt. I wear all pro team items, medium in all. I live in SF and ride in early morning, around 50F. So this and the long sleeve thermal (best Rapha piece IMO) is my go to. Get it, these sell out quick

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A favorite My favorite noninsulated Rapha gilet. I find the fit, function, and fashion (the 3 f's?) of this gilet to all be well done. Good color selection as well. Packs easily in a jersey pocket and with the two way zipper I don't miss the pockets at all. Speaking of pockets I think this gilet does a good job of fitting comfortable over full jersey pockets and still providing coverage. Other gilets tend to either be tight with full pockets or are too big and flap to make room. The use of flexible materials and a good cut help this gilet fit as it should comfortably but without flapping in the wind.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from An essential piece of cycling kit Great gilet for slightly chilly days. It keeps me warm without overheating. Cool morning starts, fast descends, windy days. Very flexible and useful in many conditions depending how you combine it with other layers. I wear mine in fall and spring over summer jerseys and in winter over winter jerseys. Two direction zipper makes access to jersey pockets easier. It packs small to be carried easily. I am 1m85 / 80kg and size L fits perfect to me. An essential piece of cycling kit

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great gilet but flappy shoulders - still! I love this gilet. Design is beautiful and materials stunning. Amazing attention to detail and don’t know another brand with such quality mixed with style. O lay drawback is the same as has been present since the early Rapha gilets: flappy shoulders. The back of the shoulder, despite some elastication is just not tight enough. There is hardly any tension stitched into the elastic so it neither expands nor contract a great deal. This leads to annoying flapping in the wind. The solution is to run some elastic through the seam and stitch at a higher tension. I do this myself and the gilet works well. Silly this is required when the rest of the design features are well executed. Surprised in the context of the heavy advertising surrounding the rigorous testing the garments are out through. Otherwise it would be 5 stars.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great vest, but with 1 minor flaw. Love the vest. I got a size medium (most of the Rapa stuff I am a size small). Looks great on the bike. The only minor flaw is the shoulders flap in the wind. Regardless of what jersey I wear or how hard I try and pull the vest down, it still flaps. The size small was way too tight in the chest, hence the reason I went w/ a medium instead. If they fixed the shoulder/arm hole area to prevent it flapping in the wind, it would be a 5/5.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Great vest but poor zipper quality. The vest is great. Fits great, mesh back makes it super breathable and isolate well from the wind. BUT within a month both of the plastic thingy on the two zippers broke while zipping up the which makes it pretty hard to zipp up now…

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super trim and lightweight The fit is very trim, I wear a small across most of the Pro Team range and can just get away with this for the gilet when worn over a summer (PT Lightweight Jersey) jersey. I couldn’t fit the giletover a winter jersey and base layer without sizing up. The cut is very good, there’s stretch in the rear mesh to accommodate carrying things in the rear pockets of a jersey. The benefit of sticking to size is that there’s no shoulder flapping of the material, which I’ve experienced from riding the gilet in a size up. Overall, perfect for the Summer but I wear something heavier in Autumn/Winter (the Rain Gilet).

I having been buying Castelli products and find you always have to go one size up then the recommended in there guide.   Would like to order your pro team vest but sizing is always a concern.   I guess the question is is sizing true or do I go one size up

We cannot speak to Castelli products but we recommend using our size guide to determine proper sizing. Please note that the Pro Team Lightweight Gilet is meant to have a tighter race fit, so if you prefer a more relaxed fit we do recommend sizing up.

In general I would recommend to stay with the same size (XL). XXL will have a comfortable fit but flap around more.
