Reasons to Keep Training

Introducing the Pro Team Long Sleeve Training Jersey – the definitive jersey for covering the kilometres while training in cooler conditions.

28 September 2020

Winter miles make for summer smiles, or so they say. And while the halcyon days of summer might have passed, training days can be just as much fun in cooler conditions, providing you have the correct kit.

New for this season, the Pro Team Long Sleeve Training Jersey incorporates many of the popular rider-inspired features of the original with longer sleeves designed to help you stay warm on training rides in cooler weather.

For a professional’s perspective on the latest addition to our training range, we caught up with Canyon//SRAM’s Hannah Barnes, fresh from the world championships in Imola, and EF Pro Cycling’s Mitch Docker ahead of his tilt at the Giro d’Italia.

“It’s a great jersey on days where the weather could go either way. It is light enough for warm weather but also holds up in the wind and rain if the weather gets ugly.”

– Mitch Docker, EF Pro Cycling

“Rapha jerseys always stand out because of the armband but the contrast colours on this jersey make it a nice change from my race kit.”

– Hannah Barnes, CANYON//SRAM

A more relaxed fit with carefully shaped sleeves makes for a more comfortable ride than race days.

Stand-out sleeves hark back to classic team kits of old and provide a point of difference from your usual race day clothing.

“On training days comfort is key. This jersey is just so soft, against the skin or on top of a base layer, it’s the perfect mid layer for longer days.”

– Hannah

“Training is not all about being on the bike. It’s about sitting at the café stop and preparing food at home beforehand. It pays to have kit that you’re comfortable in.”

– Mitch

Lightweight, breathable fabric with a gridded structure that helps wick sweat away from the skin and insulate against the cold.

Large, silicone-backed grippers at the cuffs and hem provide a secure fit, allowing you to put the power down, safe in the knowledge that your jersey won’t disrupt you.

“It doesn’t rain much in Girona where I train but it can get cold. The grippers on this jersey are great for keeping out the cold and holding the jersey in place.”

– Hannah

“You’re always having to wear the tightest and most aerodynamic clothing when you’re racing, so it’s nice to have something that is a bit more comfortable for training.”

– Hannah
