The Riding
Four days of mountainous riding, encompassing 400km and 7,500m of climbing. Fully supported with Rapha ride leaders, vehicles, nutrition, mechanics, and training guidance to make sure get the most out of the trip.
Our queen stage is Doi Inthanon, Thailand’s highest mountain and the focal point of our Summit. Its 47km long climb dwarfs the storied cols such as Val Thorens or Ventoux, while gaining around 2,600m across its length. Illegal to climb unsupported, this Summit is a chance for a once-in-a-lifetime achievement, a climb like no other.
To get the most out of this trip, you should aim to be riding at an intermediate to advanced level. Paced groups will be provided to accommodate faster or slower riders at these levels.
The riding is not suited to beginners. If you have any questions, get in touch at summits@rapha.cc

The Culture
Chiang Mai lies nestled in the mountainous heart of the former Lan Na Kingdom and has quietly picked up a reputation as one of Southeast Asia’s premier cycling destinations. Well-paved roads crisscross taxing mountain ranges, transitioning from lush jungles and plantations of mango and longdan through elephant reservations and high mountain cedars. Temples line the hillsides and golden Nāgas keep watch over riders on the roads.
Lan Na translates roughly to "Kingdom of a Million Rice Fields", indicative of its verdant landscapes and agricultural history. Chiang Mai may as well be the city of a million coffee shops, the high altitude promoting a cafe culture built on locally grown coffee and tea, meaning incredible refreshments are ready to refuel you.

The Food
The Summit will provide a window into the local Lanna-style cuisine; less fiery than its southern cousin, but deeply spiced and flavourful. From traditional Khan Toke shared meals to banquet dinners, each meal will be carefully calibrated to fuel you for the day's riding while introducing you to new flavours.
On the road, expect a full range of performance nutrition products and local touches: the locals swear by banana sticky rice and young coconut to take on the steep climbs.

The Team
RCC Summits bring our members together from all over the world. Share the road with our community teams and ride leaders, plus athletes and friends of the brand. At the head of it all is our CEO, Fran Millar. We’ll also have the expertise of Thai ride leaders and support crew, ensuring you can ride like the locals do.

The Hotel
Located on the banks of the Mae Ping River, Anantara Chiang Mai Resort is an oasis outside the Old City, 6 km from the base of the mountains. Centred around the former home of the British consul to Siam, it’s an elegant space, perfectly set up to allow for rest and relaxation between rides. Fine Thai dining, displays of local culture and a well-appointed spa with an array of massage options mean all you need to focus on is the next day.

Getting There
We recommend flying to Chiang Mai International Airport. Those flying to Bangkok will require a domestic flight to Chiang Mai. Additional travel details including transfer information will be shared with all ticket holders directly.
Schedule

Day One
Please arrive in Chiang Mai on Thursday morning no later than 11.30am, to make the most of the four days. Our main aim is to get you settled in and orientated ahead of the weekend, both on bike and off, and feeling ready for some majestic riding. You’ll have a chance to prepare your bike, loosen the legs on the local Doi Suthep climb and meet your fellow members and the Summit team.

Day Two
An early start sees us shake off the rigours of travel and ride into the hinterlands of Mae On using a route meticulously pulled together by Chiang Mai locals. It’s hilly, with steep, serpentine sections giving views across deserted mountain ranges and fruit plantations. After an afternoon of relaxation and recovery, we’ll indulge in a Khan Tote dinner, a Lanna custom of shared dining to prepare for our Queen Stage, our most challenging riding day.

Day Three
Doi Inthanon, Thailand’s highest mountain and the focal point on our Summit. A rare climb, it’s 47km, gathering up 2,600m of elevation, making it a serious challenge. The summit team will be with you all the way, providing the support you need to overcome this challenge like no other. Post-ride, we will gather for our gala dinner to celebrate and reflect on an epic weekend away.

Day Four
As the Summit concludes, there is just enough time for one more ride to wind down before departure with checkout at 12pm. We will support you with transport wherever possible to help you safely make your return home or onwards to your next adventure.
