Winter gloves for cold-weather cycling

The Rapha Winter Gloves are a slim-fitting, insulating, water-resistant glove with a Durable Water Repellent coating.

The low-profile cuff design eliminates the need for a velcro strap and fits easily under jacket sleeves. The palm, thumb, middle and index fingers are reinforced with hard-wearing synthetic suede, and the palms use high-density foam padding for comfort. Inside, a brushed polyester liner gives soft, fleece-like warmth, while the breathable outer protects your hands from the cold and wet. The thumb features a useful brushed nose wipe.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cold fingers - no more The Best vintergloves I've tried. Works for me at about 0 degrees celcius for 2-3 hours. Make sure you get the right size - NOT to small and tight.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warm and not too bulky I bought these a couple of months back after always struggling with cold hands. I have tried various gloves and combinations of liners etc but these do the trick on their own. Very warm. Well made. Lining is attached within the glove so they don't 'pull-out' when you take your hands out. Can get a bit sweaty when putting back on but i'd rather have that than cold hands.

Hi, after using these throughout the winter it seems about time to provide them with some tender loving care. What do you recommend? My idea is a gentle machine wash (30 degrees wool program with a wool detergent). Afterwards, some leather grease.

Asked by: pjcrumpf
Hi, we suggest a mild gentle wash with a non bio detergent. If your gloves have micro suede on the palms then we do not suggest to use the leather balm. Only use the leather balm if your gloves are the model that has the leather palms. Though I do re-proof mine after every wash.

Can you use a touch screen phone with these on?

Asked by: benjaminnixon
Hi, most modern touch screens use "capacitive touchscreen" which will work with any glove but for others a glove needs to complete a circuit with your finger. This gloves do not include conductive thread.

What’s the difference to the Deep Winter Gloves

Asked by: Kiddomk1
The Deep Winter Gloves come with thicker padding, heavier insulation, and a velcro closure. The gloves are shaped and fitted for comfort on the bars and hoods and feature a waterproof, breathable membrane, and a durable palm. The standard Winter Gloves have less padding and are a slim-fitting, insulating, water-resistant glove with a Durable Water Repellent coating.

Has the cuff design changed at all? They used to be so tight that taking them off & putting them back on was virtually impossible without considerable effort.

Asked by: Captain Morg
Hi, these still have a elasticated cuff as last year with a low-profile cuff to allow to fit easily under jacket sleeves.
