Description

Precision is the key to performance, and Rapha’s Pro Team collection takes attention to detail as its cornerstone. This Pro Team Winter Jacket is designed to be layered up as either the second (worn with a base layer) or third layer (with a base layer and jersey) depending on tempo, duration and temperature.

The jacket has a race fit that suits an in-the-drops, on-bike position, and features denser fabric to the front and leading edges for greater weather protection. A more open, breathable fabric on the back panels allows heat to escape during higher tempo rides.

An essentials pocket on the chest offers handy storage for cards, keys, or gels, and is easy to access with gloved hands thanks to an oversized, stay-down zipper. To the rear, three large pockets offer the storage space of a jersey should you choose to wear the jacket with only a base layer. And to keep you seen in the diminished light of winter months, reflective elements appear on the armband, logos, and rear tab for 360° visibility. Rated 5 out of 5 by from A classy and very well made winter jacket. Very well made Jacket. I purchased the new green colour which looks very classy. I'm 6ft and do have a broad 44in chest so needed the xxl size. Fits well without being restrictive. I run quite cold in the winter months so anything around zero decrees and I also wear a rapha winter baselayer and rapha gilet with it as it is not a heavyweight winter jacket. For me it works very well in the 2-10 decrees with just the baselayer. It is not the best if you want exceptional windproofing but on the otherhand it breathes very well when pushing hard on the bike. Worth the money? I Would say yes.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not that warm, but more versatile because of it. This is a great jacket with decent wind-proofing on the front and arms and a lighter fleeced jersey back. Depending on where you live it might not be a 'winter jacket' though. Here in Switzerland I had to do some pretty serious layers for really cold winter days, and have even worn the Pro Team Insulated Gilet over the top, as the cold really comes in under the arms and down the sides. This does however mean you can wear this with a summer base layer in conditions up to about 10C without cooking. Fit is good for me in a M and I'm 180cm and 66kg, although the front finishes a bit unnecessarily high imo. Even for riding in the drops.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A great Pro Team jacket just got better At first I was a little surprised by how tight the M size fit was compared to, let's say, Pro Team thermal jersey. But then you have to remember that this is a Winter jacket, it's just not very stretchy, so to say. Other than that, it's an amazing piece of kit. You have to mind that it's quite short, especially on the front side, which is done for the Pro Team style, as in you're on the bars, putting the hammer down 99% of the time (j/k). But yeah. The pockets are accessible enough and there's even one on the chest, which can fit (with some efforts) a larger size of an iPhone. Never felt cold while wearing it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good working shell The jacket is really for riding, not for walks around. But the performance is absolutely great. Even I wear the Rapha long sleeve merino shirt, I can feel in a comfort zone close to 0. It has longer sleeves to fit over my gloves and I do appreciate it very. Wider access to pockets works also great, but the first of all I can confirm the material as a best protection I can have. With the Brevet vest I use it for any winter ride, and it works well. For Rapha brand lovers it a must for such a wet windy winter weather. But I also believe the jacket will work great during spring colder rides. And hey, the green color is not for everyone, but some chicks seem to be hooked by it ;-)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ok down to 5c Warm down to about 5c with a winter base layer, colder than that you will need another layer. Bought a medium at 5ft 6ins 148lb is perfect fit even if i had a couple layers underneath. Small fitted but it was skintight. Didn't think it was that windproof on a windy day but this was at a easy pace. feels good quality & like the fit but not really a deep winter jacket

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A big favourite of mine ! Bought it because of the great colourways. It was even difficult to choose ;-). Fit is superb: I’m tall and slim (1.89 and 93 cm chest w.relative long arms) and size M fits perfectly (maybe the neck could be a tad smaller). A lot of times the combination of a good racefit with sleeves that are long enough is an issue for me. Not with Rapha: sleevelength is perfect. Temperature regulation is good: mostly I like to dress warm enough, but one mesh baselayer combined with a LS merinobaselayer was sufficient for riding in temperatures between 1 and 7 degrees C. Summarised: (almost) perfect jacket which I would highly recommend. Two things that would make it completely perfect: the chestpocket is a nice added feature, but the lining of it looks very vulnerable which made me careful to put my valuables in it; stylewise I prefer the pro-team convict stripes on the back of the jacket in stead of the big Rapha logo; it just makes it more stylish in my taste (and hey: everybody knows those stripes are Rapha so no need to put the name on it ;-)).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from fantastic jersey fantastic garment protects perfectly from the wind and is perfect for the winter season. I'm 1.75cm tall and I chose size L which allows me to wear it comfortably. after wearing it I decided to also buy the green model.
