    Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent quality, average fit. Great garment and the Skakedry material is the best of active waterproof membranes IMO. The jacket has all the qualities and features you'd expect from a Pro Team garment, doing a very good job of keeping the heaviest rain off whilst protecting against the wind, my only, minor grumble would be the fit. It's not too bad around the torso, but the shoulders and arms are a bit big and flappy, especially compared to the equivalent garment from a rival brand. This does however make for easier removal and donning of the jacket without getting off the bike. I'm 6'2 and around 82kg, I have a large jacket. Whilst I could comfortably fit into the medium, it was just too short for my torso.

    Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth every Penny of the asking price. Due to already owning a classic rain and wind jackets, I really did not ‘need’ another packable rain jacket... However I am so glad I made the decision to purchase this gore tex jacket. It has completely made the former redundant. It is light, waterproof and astoundingly breathable and has become my go to spring outer wear. I am a solid L in classic Rapha jerseys and found this jacket in a Large was race fit. I settled on an XL to allow room for winter layering and full pockets. Time will tell for longevity but at the moment early indications are good. Style wise, this jacket is right on the button, a Rapha classic.

    Rated 5 out of 5 by from game changer this is quite simply the best waterproof I've ever had. yes it costs a lot of money but so far its been worth every penny. I ride in the Peak District (UK) and we've had well above the average rainfall for 9 months straight. I was sick of getting wet. I bought this jacket and now I don't get wet! brilliant! it packs really small and is very light. it does appear a bit fragile but has survived an icy over the bars moment ok. time will tell for its long term durability but so far so very good. I've read reviews commenting about the sizing and it is a close fitting round the torso and roomier over the shoulders but this make more sense once you start adding layers underneath. anyway I prefer this. I want to be dry when I'm riding in the rain, not aero and wet!

    Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excelled in the worst conditions possible in NZ I purchased this for a cycle trip on the west coast of NZ South Island. The rain was torrential getting >500mm in a couple of days. The jacket did a great job of keeping you dry while the material breathes to stop you feeling like you are in a plastic bag. It would still be sweaty in hot weather but it performed perfectly in tough conditions when other riders rain jackets leaked etc. Protected from the wind on descents but comfortable when riding on the climbs. It was expensive but I haven't tried anything that has come close to the performance.

    Rated 4 out of 5 by from It's Definitely Waterproof Through 50 miles of heavy downpour... this jacket successfully repelled the water. I was is awe! My only complaint is the rear of the jacket. It's too short and doesn't grip like the other Pro Team jackets. I found myself constantly pulling down the rear because my Pro Team jersey was being exposed to the elements.

    Rated 5 out of 5 by from The perfect wet weather garment I bought this as soon as it came out and it’s been perfect. I was surprised quite how small and light it is. It easily folds up and fits into your back pocket. The weather on ‘mud island’ is changeable to say the least and I’m unlikely to go out in the rain but being caught in a shower is a distinct possibility so this is the perfect garment. I survived the showers and remained completely dry. No water seepage through the neck or seems. After the rain stopped a sharp shake and it was dry again, folded up and back in my pocket. I also took it with me on a weekend away and wore it as a casual garment on a wet evening. The only minor irritation was the sleeve length-my arms are particularly long so this maybe an issue just for me. I usually wear the pro fit and this a good fit, not tight but snug enough.

    Rated 5 out of 5 by from Essential piece of kit I wore this jacket for for the first time today and was caught out in the heavy rain a couple of times and the jacket performed perfectly keeping me dry for a wet 65 mile January ride. I normally wear a size medium in Rapha pro team but decided to size up to a large so I can wear this jacket over multiple layers in the winter and it fits perfect.

    Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very waterproof, very breathable, very light Wanted a shake-dry rain jacket that was totally waterproof, light and not "boil-in-the-bag" like my others. This is the real deal and at a good (but still exe) price. Have worn it many times in the last month in the rain and can confirm its waterproofness. I've worn it on my scooter few times too in the pouring rain doing 75-80kph - still totally waterproof and you can feel its breathability. Love the double (white) zips too - in fact I use the bottom zip more than the top so I can get into my rear pockets. Doesn't take up any more room in my back pocket than my gilet! Material is pretty thin so ya gotta look after it... It's a keeper.

    All my rapha kit is size small should I buy this in a small or size up

    Hi~ recently got myself this jacket, but wonder if there is any suggested way to pack the jacket into the mesh pocket? tired serval times and really struggle on this. Thanks

    The best way to pack this into the mesh pocket is to hold the jacket at the pocket, flip the pocket inside out, and begin stuffing the jacket into it from the fabric closest to the pocket, outward.

    What are the major differences between the MPT light-weight gore-tex and the MPT Gore-tex rain jacket? I'd like a jacket that is water-proof, to train at intensity, very, very long endurance rides and short group rides.

    The MPT lightweight Gore-Tex jacket is made with Gore-Tex shakedry and is more lightweight at 49 gsm. Whereas the MPT Gore-Tex Rain Jacket is made of GORE-TEX Active which is made to be more durable at 84 gsm.

    This is made from a lightweight material, if worn with a backpack, the constant friction will damage the material and waterproofness. It isn't designed for commuting.

    Is the bottom rear part of the jacket still elastic on the new version, or no longer? I found the old version tended to bunch up and not sit flat on the back due to the elastic waist. Has this been improved on the new version? Thanks.

    There is no elastic on the bottom of the jacket, however, it is contoured to stay in place and there is a little stretch to the material to help too.

    I wear size L in the Classic Merino Jersey 2 and the Classic gilet/windjacket. I wear xl in the Brevet insulated jacket and the core Long sleeve jersey. I am 184/80 kg. What size would you recommend?

    With the Pro Team range being a race fit and so sitting close to the body, I would recommend upsizing to the XL. This will mean that it is a close fit without being restrictive.

    The fit of this jacket is the same as the previous version. Being a Pro Team jacket it is a race fit as so fits close to the arms and body.
