Core series winter training and commuting

Winter training is about focussing on the foundations of fitness. Get the basics right and everything else will fall into place. What works on the road works in design too, and by focussing on the basics, the Core collection sets a new standard for performance, value and comfort.

The Core Winter Tight is designed to keep you warm while you train and commute on cold days, with legs made of a stretchy brushed-back fleece to keep your muscles warm and bibs constructed from a lighter, stretchier material to allow perspiration to escape. Utilising the same construction as the best selling Core Bib Short, the seams lie flat and are contoured to stay in place through your full range of motion.

The pad-free version of the Core Winter Tight is perfect for back-to-back training days, where only the bib short worn underneath need to be washed after each ride.

FEATURES

  • Brushed back fleece legs keep your working muscles warm
  • Wide straps provide exceptional comfort
  • Reflective stripes on the calves won’t be covered by overshoes

FABRIC

  • 83% nylon
  • 17% elastane

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

  • Machine wash 30°
  • Do not bleach
  • Do not tumble dry
  • Do not iron

Rapha leg and waist sizing info

Waist: natural waist measurement is taken from above the hips, close to the navel.
Inside Leg: from the crotch to the base of the ankle.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Premium material at a reasonable price. I have been riding the Pro Team versions for years. These offer the same function and even better stretch (fit). Well done Rapha.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great winter tights I have other core products so decided to try these as I have plenty of shorts to wear under them and commute a lot so don't like having to wash tights every day. I bought two pairs so that I they can last the 7 days (commute and weekend riding). They are not as warm as some tight I have had but these have had windproof front and TBH can get too hot. Really nice fit and simple design. No bells or whistles - they just do what you need them to.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great quality and functionality these run tight, had to go up a size from normal Rapha buys, but they're ideal for temps from 35 - 45 degrees F -- below 30, not so much, but maybe you shouldn't be out too long in those temps anyway!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid and comfortable The Core collection is really impressive and a good initiative of Rapha. I'm 187cm and a 87kg and these are a perfect fit for me. The insulation seems really good for the rides i have been doing in about 5 degrees celsius.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for those cold winter rides Perfect for popping over your best bib shorts to make them suitable for a cold day in the saddle. As with the core shorts I find these run small compared to the brevet range. I'm 5' 11", 80kg and 33" waist and opted for the large. Allows for plenty of mobility without looking baggy around the knees.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for cool mornings Finally had a chance to wear these on a cool 53F morning. Paired with bib shorts, these have a nice, close fit and didn’t heat me up too much. I’ve really become a fan of the Core line

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great winter tights It's hard to find a good winter tight that doesn't have a chamois. These are warm, come up high on the front, and fit well.

How do they fasten around the ankle & are they water repellant?

Asked by: Martin4cycling
These Bib Tights have elasticated grippers around the ankle. They have not been treated with a DWR like our Pro Team Bib Tights

How are these compared to the old Classic Winter Tights? Similar warmth?

Asked by: Hovis
They share similar design features, including the material used in their manufacture, so would expect a similar level of warmth when riding

Hi. If i wear a pair of These over my XL core bib shorts, what size would I need, the same size or the next size up. Thanks

Asked by: Seanf4
We recommend that you choose the XL version to wear over your XL Bibs as they are designed to be worn over an item so up-sizing is not required

I wear a medium in the pro team bib shorts, would I be better off with a small for these core winter tights?

Asked by: Euan Campbell
The Core range has a more relaxed fit then the Pro Team collection so the Medium should be appropriate.

Hello, I am almost always a Rapha medium, 5-9", 167. I wear brevet and classic in medium, along with pro team jerseys.  I do have PT bibs in large, and maybe the soft shell too (newer version).  poor luck with past tights/ leg warmers, ideas here for me?

Asked by: Jake F
We would recommend the Medium Bib Tights if you have the Brevet Bibs and Classic in this size
