Technical cycling shoe designed for climbers

Using materials and construction techniques that prioritise low weight and ventilation, the Climber’s Shoes offer cutting-edge performance and an understated, classic aesthetic.

The uppers are made from a mesh-backed synthetic leather, chosen for its low weight and exceptional breathability. Retaining the tensile strength required to support a foot during intense efforts, the mesh lining also allows sweat to evaporate from inside of the shoe. The leather’s perforations enable fresh air to circulate, leaving the foot feeling cool. Low-profile hook and loop fasteners are chosen for their simplicity and minimal bulk.

The EC90 SLXII sole is an evolution of that found on the Rapha GT Shoes. It keeps weight and stack height to a minimum, incorporates a replaceable heel protector, and is shaped to complement Giro’s SuperNatural Fit™ footbeds that allow riders to choose their preferred level of arch support.

NB: Please only try the shoes on a carpeted surface without cleats, as we are unable to accept returns with scratched or scuffed soles, thank you.

Please note: Gift wrap is not available on this item.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Form and function I really like the way Giro shoes fit my foot. Having the stiff Giro EC90 sole combined with Rapha styling was a win-win for me. I was hesitant about the Velcro straps as I am used to Boa or a ratcheting buckle, but these provide a secure hold and the ability fine tune the tightness while one the bike. Something that laces do not offer. I tried Giro Empires and did not like laces. I tried Specialized Audax and found the toe box too wide. If you have a normal to narrow foot and like the ability to adjust the fit while riding then I would highly recommend these.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Extremely light and super comfortable . I purchased my first pair of climbers shoes some time ago and came back for another pair . One reason is as they are so light I can travel with two pairs ( so if one rides in wet weather one has a spare pair the next day ) and still keep the overall weight down on cycle gear . In Europe this is common with the weather .

Hi, I have a pair of Pearl Izumi MTB shoes in a 42 and am around a 7.5 in a normal shoe, what size would you recommend in these Climbers?

Asked by: kevin171270
Hi, it seems as you may be ok with a 42 in these. I am a 39.5 and I take a 40 in these. Should you need to exchange or refund, we have a 90 days return period for new/unused garments with tags and in saleable condition. So if you wish, do buy a 42 and 42.5 and send back for a refund the one that does not fit.

Hi, having read some previous Q&A's on the climber shoes sizing I'm a tad confused when then referring to the size chart. I'm 42 in my SWorks so would you suggest a 43.5 as per the size chart or the same size as read in some Q&A's? Thx

Asked by: TroyB
Hi, unfortunately with shoes it is very much dependent not just on feet length but also height and width. If you are a size 42 in your Specialized shoes I suggest trying a 42.5 in the Climbers. Should you need to exchange or refund, we have a 90 days return period for new/unused garments with tags and in saleable condition.

Hi there, I'm a 42 Sidi and the size guide with my last pair recommended at 41.5. It now recommends a 42. Has the sizing changed? Or just the size guide? My previous pair were a 42 and slightly too big, so I'm minded to try 41.5.

Asked by: Monkalicious
We have adjusted the sizing chart in response to other manufacturers new shoes. If you are uncertain of which shoe size to order, please contact Customer Service for more advice

Can the Velcro be renewed once it begins to fail?

Asked by: Specialissima1
A local cobbler may be able to replace the Velcro on these shoes. This would not fall under the Rapha Repairs Service.

Are these suiten for cold weather as long as you have some woolen socks?

Asked by: Jeppai
Hi, I find these shoes a prefect all year round shoe with the right adaptation. In the summer they pair up well with a lightweight sock and in the winter they should be paired with warm winter socks and the appropriate shoe covers.
