What are the current COVID19 Travel restrictions to and from Mallorca?
Mallorca (Spain) is currently welcoming visitors from across the world as long as they follow the entry requirements. Currently this is completing the health control form and associated proof of being fully vaccinated against Covid-19. To check specific travel requirements from your location use the online tool from Skyscanner and check the requirements on the Spanish government border controls website.
What are the Covid measures in place?
We will be working within all the current local governmental COVID guidelines for all our rides, dinners and hospitality, adhering to any distancing or mask wearing rules that are in place across the hospitality, hotel and event industries at the time. We will also be working with all our hotel and venue teams to take extra precautions with regards to our groups, with additional attention to cleaning and distancing standards.
What happens if the event is cancelled or postponed?
In the event our weekend is cancelled or postponed you will be offered a full refund for your booking. For reasons such as a COVID-19 national or regional lockdown, we will aim to postpone the weekend and set a new date. You will have a 14 day cooling off period from the announcement of the new date to request a full refund. After that point, your booking will be transferred to the new date.
What happens if I can no longer attend?
You may cancel but this will be subject to the event cancellation policy, please refer to our booking terms and conditions. Alternatively you can transfer your booking to someone else, please see the below for further details.
Can someone else take my place?
You can transfer your place to another person up to 8 weeks ahead of the event, but this may be subject to an administration fee and there is no guarantee we can accommodate a replacement guest's specific requirements. Please contact us if you would like to transfer your place.
Are flights included?
No, flights are not included. Guests must book their own flights, the closest airport is Palma. Be sure to check arrival and departure times to ensure there is enough time to transfer to and from the airport. Hotel check in is 13:00hrs and checkout is 12:00hrs. The event venue is about 45-60 minutes drive from the airport.
Are airport transfers provided?
There will be a complimentary scheduled transfer between Palma Airport and the event hotel and back. These will be at pre-scheduled times which will be arranged once we know the primary window for the majority of in and outbound flight times of all guests, transfer times and booking your slot on these will be released to guests closer to the event.
What can I do if I can’t make the airport transfer times?
We can provide you with the details for private transfers if you can not make the scheduled times, these will be at your own additional cost.
Will my bike be transported in the scheduled transfers?
Yes, bikes will be transported as part of the scheduled transfers, please ensure your bike is properly packed into a bike bag or box.
Are there any age limits to attending the RCC Summit?
Yes, Summit attendees must be over 18 years of age.
Can I bring a non-riding friend, family, partner?
Yes, there is an option to purchase a room for you as a riding guest + one other non-riding guest/partner, however these spaces are limited, your non-riding partner does not necessarily need to be an active RCC member.
What is and is not included for the non-riding guest?
A non-riding guest will be able to join us for all off-bike activities. This includes the hotel stay, breakfast, evening meals and all activities off the bike. What’s not included is riding and ride support, lunch on Friday, Saturday and Sunday which is hosted on the road. There is plenty to do in and around the hotel or nearby towns and villages for our non-riding guests when the riders are out on their bikes.
Can I bring the kids?
Unfortunately we cannot accommodate children under 18 at the event.
Can I attend the Summit but stay at alternative accommodation?
No, this is an exclusive closed group event.
Will the riding suit my current riding ability?
Our Summits are designed to suit riders of mixed abilities. We provide different route options and split into groups so you can ride comfortably at your pace. We do recommend having a basic level of fitness, to be comfortable riding on three consecutive days over mixed terrain with climbing and comfortable riding with others on a road bike and clipped in pedals. All routes are all fully supported by ride leaders and with support vehicles on hand to assist any rider in difficulty.
Can I hire a bike?
Yes, there will be a limited supply of bikes to hire, details will be shared with guests post booking.
Do I need to wear a helmet?
Yes, Helmets will need to be worn on all rides.
Can I book additional days at the hotel either before or after the event
Yes, availability permitting this should be possible. After booking we will send you an email confirmation, in this we will include instructions with a special discount rate to book additional days. Please bear in mind that you might need to change rooms but the hotel will endeavour to ensure not.

This time, we’re heading to the north of the island, closer to some of its major attractions. From our Summit hotel the iconic switchbacks of Sa Calobra and the route to the lighthouse at Cap Formentor are just a short ride away. Add in some time to relax, recover and catch up with clubmates, and we’re all set for a superb long weekend.
