Based on an environmentally-friendly formulation, Rapha Apparel Re-Proofer restores lost water-repellency, allowing you to ride further while remaining dry. Ideally applied to damp garments, this product maintains breathability, and provides maximum protection without requiring heat activation.

Suitable for use with all waterproof and water-resistant materials.. Can also be used with garments with Gore-Tex® linings. For best results, use alongside Rapha Apparel Wash.

  • Restores water resistance
  • Protects DWR treatment
  • Prolongs product life
  • 200ml ℮ 6.76 fl. oz.

  • Use Rapha Apparel Wash to ensure garment is clean

  • For best results apply to a damp garment
  • Shake bottle and spray evenly from a distance of 10 to 15cm
  • Dab away any excess moisture with a clean cloth

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to use & quicker than a wash-in product I bought this to reproif my softshell cycling jacket after washing with Rapha's product. Both products arrived on time with a sense of style and luxury to the packaging. I was slightly sceptical about the spray-on application but it was actually easy and quicker than wash-in products I've used before. There is plenty left for another day and the jacket feels just about new. I haven't tried it in really significant rain but it's holding out well at the moment.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works well I've only used this once but it's certainly helped re-proof my winter jacket

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Like new! This was easy to use. With my jacket I had to use my iron at its lowest setting & no steam to 'set' the DWR treatment. I tested it this weekend in rainy Seattle - beaded up the water just fine. Price point is comparable to Nikwax - maybe a dollar or two more. Performance is good.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Re-proofer revived jacket Re-proofed my rain jacket a few weeks ago but had no rain untill today, four hours of the Mendips, 50mph winds, sideways rain, plenty of climbs. The heat escaped but no rain got in, the Jacket is back to new.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from If you believe it, it will work OR WILL IT?! So far it seems to be doing the job as its manufactured to do, keeping the water out/away. It, however, doesn't seem to work on the gloves as well as the hat and jacket.

Why is it that it that for a short duration, the garment will bead water, but after a sustained ride in heavy rain, it eventually soaks completely through? How can we make our rain jackets/race cape's completely 100% waterproof? Or is it not possible?

Asked by: BugsBunny
If you have washed the Jacket using a perfumed detergent, this will leave residue that absorbs water and reduces the water poof qualities. Once the fabric is completely saturated with water, like in the heavy rain associated in tropical regions of South East Asia, the Jacket cannot physically repel any further water as the residue left over has transferred water to the fabric itself

I have a hooded rain jacket and the care label says do not tumble dry. Should I just hang dry after spraying down my jacket? Will not tumble drying reduce efficacy?

Asked by: TtotheC
Hi, you can tumble dry this jacket on the lowest setting for a short while after applying the re-proofer.

Is there some test I can do on the jackets to know that it's time to do a reproofing?

Asked by: Bugsbunny
Hi, there is not an official test. If water is no longer beading on the jacket and running off, or if you getting wet sooner than you were before, it is time to re-proof.

How many applications of the product does a bottle hold? Or, to put it another way,  how much should I be using to re-proof a jacket?

Asked by: Slow_simon
Hi, there is no exact dosage. The advice we give is use enough to cover all the garment, but not over spray on one area. More your spray does not mean a more waterproof finish. Also, make sure you hang in a warm area or tumble dry on the lowest heat (even if the garment states ‘do not tumble dry’). I hope this helps.
