Excellent pair of winter bibs
My first Rapha bibs for winter riding (on road and gravel) and I have to say I'm extremely impressed. The cargo pockets are a game changer, particularly the open netted pocked on the right leg. I specifically wanted bibs that would increase my visibility on the road and am really impressed with the reflective panels on the calves. These are also a whole step warmer than my Castelli Sorpasso bibs that I had previously found warm. I was on the fence about getting these but am really pleased with the investment in winter riding. I often wear bibs in spring / autumn but these would probably be too warm - they are a true winter piece of kit.

Warmth & pockets
These bibs have been comfortably warm when temps were between ~30-50F. They're among the most comfortable bibs I've owned too. Sizing seems comparable to previous Rapha bibs I've owned. I've never tried cargo style bibs before, but I've found the leg pockets especially to be really nice additions, even for this piece of cold weather apparel. The mesh pocket is huge and seems very durable; it hasn't stretched out or torn over a good number of long rides. The zipper pocket on the other leg is big enough for my phone and insulated enough so that my phone doesn't get cold and lose its charge. No complaints at all about these.

I really like these and feel very torn on giving only three stars. They are stupendously comfortable and well made. The pad is excellent and the added visibility on the lower legs should be a standard thing on all bib tights. Pockets are well made and useful and they look great as well. My major issue is that there is already some bobbling on the backside after half a dozen rides. I can forgive this on a cheap pair of bibs but on something that costs this much i’m afraid I can’t. Don’t get me wrong i’m not sending them back but I fear that they will be dead by the end of one winter and I just can’t justify the outlay on these to only last and look good for a few months. I have much cheaper bib tights that are still going after a couple of winters.

Get What You Pay For
If you don't feel comfortable spending over $300 for a pair of pants look away. Otherwise, I am very happy with these. They fit very well and are very warm without being too thick and restrictive. I particularly like the side stretch pockets: great for keeping a Clif Bar from getting frozen solid in the cold. I also like the large reflective details on the back of the calf because it makes me feel safer in low light. That and all of my other kit is Rapha so it had to match ;P My only gripe is can be a bit tricky to get my feet through the legs without any zippers.

Degrading reflective pieces
Amazing piece of kit however the lower leg reflective piece has started to degrade, I returned the original order and the replacement bibs have done the same thing after one ride/wash.

Warm, comfortable and pockets are very useful.
Great product, warm and comfortable with the great addition of the pockets on both legs. As they are fleece lined, be prepared to be warm in anything over 8/9 degrees but ideal for anything under those temperatures. Pockets provide additional storage for the colder days on the bike.

Quality product, at price
Very impressed with the quality of this bib. I'm comfortable riding down to mid 30s (on days that warm up to mid 40s). The photos don't show how soft the jersey is. It's very soft. I got the navy. It looks fantastic in person. The navy is understated and more fun than the black. The material breathes well for all day riding - even for those uphill sprints.
It's nice to have the cargo pockets. I find the mesh pocket (on right thigh) to be the most useful. I put bars, gels in there. Sometimes my phone is cached there.
The pad is high quality.
The calf reflectors are well executed and are nice to have for safety in addition to lights.
Concerns:
Some pilling on the seat/butt contact zone. It seems to have stopped.
Mesh on right thigh is not the strongest - needs to be babied.
Zippered pocket on left thigh has limited use. Phone will get wet from sweat. I put ID and credit card in there.
Bottomline:
Keep an eye our for competing brands as the 'cargo' bib segment is only growing and cheaper options may come to market in near future. If you don't want to think about what bib to get and just want the best, this is probably it. Just open up the wallet.

I have a pair of Pro Team Winter Tights with Pad II in size small that is a mostly fine fit, if a bit more room in the belly than expected. The straps are also a bit tight on my shoulders as I am 189cm tall. I weigh ~66kg. Would a size S work on these?
Yes we recommend a size S in these as well.

How is the length on the shoulders on the Cargo Tights vs the Pro Team Winter Tights? I was advised to size up in the Pro Team, from M to L, due to tight shoulder straps. Should I do the same for these? I’m normally a M, 189 cm tall and 75 kg.
The length on the shoulders is about the same in both styles, but the strap material is different.
Based on your height and weight we recommend a size M in these tights.
The straps stretch and should still be a good fit for you in a size M.

The inseam on the XS is 71cm. It then goes up in 2cm increments up to 81cm.

The longest inseam on these bib tights is the XXL 78cm. There is also the Brevet winter tight XXL with an inseam of 81cm.

They are very similar in terms of warmth. I would say the Cargo Winter Tights are slightly warmer due to the materials used.

are there any windproof panels
The Cargo winter tights doesn't have windproof panels.
Our Pro team winter tights comes with windproof panel with DWR(durable water repellent) on the front facing fabric.
