Rapha Custom

Standard guidelines for supported artwork

Supported

  • SVG file format. You can convert other vector-based files e.g. EPS or AI into SVG using Adobe Illustrator or online conversion tools.
  • Up to four discrete colours*
  • Solid coloured strokes and fills
  • Transparent backgrounds
  • Simpler, graphical shapes are better. Very complex or detailed artwork will impact the online editor performance and may not print as expected.

Not supported

  • Bitmap files: JPG, PNG, TIFF, etc
  • Vectors with pattern fills, gradient fills, or embedded bitmap images
  • Vectors with more than four discrete colours
* Colours will be stripped from your artwork when it’s uploaded into the online editor. Once uploaded, you will be able to re-select colours for your artwork from the Rapha palette and extended Pantone palette. This is so that we can guarantee accurate colour fidelity when your garment is printed.

Advanced guidelines for Illustrator artwork preparation

Create your artwork in greyscale. Once uploaded, you will be able to select colours for your artwork from the Rapha palette and extended Pantone palette in the online editor. This is so that we can guarantee accurate colour fidelity when your garment is printed.

We support up to four discrete colours per artwork file. All shades of the same colour in your artwork will be ‘linked’ and recoloured to the same colour in the editor.

If a transparent background is desired, no background colours or shapes should be added.

You can use solid coloured fills and strokes in your artwork.

Simpler, graphical shapes are better. Very complex or detailed artwork will impact the online editor performance and may not print as expected.

Do not use

  • Pattern fills
  • Gradient fills
  • Embedded or linked bitmap images
  • Live fonts (convert text to outlines)
  • Art brushes
  • Clipping paths or masks
  • Very complex or detailed artwork
