Every year since 2010, Rapha has laid down a festive riding challenge: to ride 500 kilometres between Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve. The #Festive500 started in the South of England but in the ten years since, it has grown to become a global challenge. Together, we’ve covered over 130 million kilometres and the challenge has become a rite of passage for cyclists around the world. In 2020, the challenge enters its eleventh year, with more ways than ever to go the distance during the festive period.
In a long-standing tradition of the #Festive500, everyone who finishes is eligible for a stitched roundel to compliment the one you might have earned on Strava. This year we will be rounding off a decade of delivering these prizes around the world so this is your last chance to earn a stitched one.
Roundel claim is now closed. Roundels will be available to collect from Clubhouses from the end of January. If you have requested a roundel to be posted to you they will be sent out from the beginning of February.
SPIRIT OF THE #FESTIVE500 AWARDS
From photo albums to poems, hand-drawn maps to freshly baked pastries, riders have commemorated their experiences of the Rapha #Festive500 since its inception. We select the most inventive entries and reward their creators with amazing prizes. Entries are now closed.
This years winners will be announced soon.
Consisting of kit and accessories to aid your progress on the bike, the #Festive500 collection is available now, featuring a design inspired by the various sights and experiences you’ll encounter during the challenge.
