Description

On the harshest winter days, cold, wet feet can seriously affect your riding performance. A vital part of any winter riding wardrobe, Rapha's overshoes are made from 100% neoprene and have been designed to keep even the heaviest spray at bay.

A reverse coil zip complements an updated ankle gripper, keeping the overshoe in place and reducing water penetration. The sole of the overshoe has a ribbed opening for the heel and cleat of a road shoe, and is reinforced by an abrasion-resistant Kevlar sole. A contrast pink care label is printed inside.

Please note: Rapha Overshoes have been specifically designed to be worn with road shoe cleat systems. Wearing them with MTB shoes, including the Rapha Cross Shoes, is likely to damage the Overshoes beyond repair.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Melbourne +10 and Below Winners I bought the black ones in size medium (size 40 old cycling shoes, which are a bit wider than the current style). They've been fantastic this Autumn and Winter in Melbourne, I use them for below +10 degrees C because my feet usually get quite cold and I'm originally a Brisbane girl. The fit is snug. The zip and velco are good quality and are sturdy. The top is not tight. In clipping and unclipping, they are ever so slightly different to do, as opposed to not wearing overshoes, but I got the hang of it within one ride. The black ones do get dirty, but the appearance is much less than what they would be. Great product. Very happy.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great overshoes These are great overshoes - well made and look great on, I love the colour and the zips have so far shown themselves to be good quality and well made. The fit is good - very neat, with little movement when riding, but I have found they seem to crushing my foot a little bit and I occasionally get numb feet - this does not happen when just wearing my shoes. My feet have stayed cozy and warm when the weather temps are not too low, but have been absolutely freezing when it is cold and particularly when it is windy. I am not sure they have been tested in Scotland!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from You can't miss me on the road! I absolutely love the colour, and my feet are always warm. I have received many compliments and I would highly recommend. I have size 6 sidi shoes and the small fits like a glove over top. My only (slight) issue, is that I'm 5'1 and the zippers on these booties do not zip all the way to the top for me because my calves are quite large and seem to end where the booties start because I am so short. I imagine if you're taller and/or have smaller ankles, it shouldn't be an issue. Even with the zippers not quite closing, there is a black velcro strap at the top that secures them in place, so they're truly excellent.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Toasty warm I haven't yet had the opportunity to try these in the rain or snow so I can't speak to the waterproof claims, but with on the last 2 rides (50km and 75 km) in temps below 6 Celsius my feet were not remotely cold even once. In fact, they were borderline too warm, but I blame that on the thicker winter DeFeet socks I wore as a precaution. I can see these being great into much colder temperatures with the same socks. They're snug-fitting, as they should be, so it takes a small bit of fussing to get them on and off, but not an unreasonable amount. They seem well-constructed and sturdy—I'm hoping to get a few years' good use from them. They're not the cheapest overshoe out there, but I don't regret the extra spent one bit.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible design The sewn opening for the cleats is too small. It was impossible for me to keep the fabric from interfering with my cleats engaging my pedals. Riding was okay seated, but as soon as I stood up to accelerate, my foot disengaged from my pedal. I ride Look Keos. Maybe these would work ok with Speedplays. I returned mine.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good warmth I have ridden in these now for about 250 kms. Good warmth. Good rain protection. Fit however was not quite what I was looking for. They are too 'baggy' around the ankle, and I worry the soles will wear out much faster than my previous overshoes. Overall, good warmth, fit not what I have come to expect from rapha gear.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Unusual fit! Ordered these a part of my 'oh they could be useful as another spare pair of overshoes' theory. I am a size 45 and the xl fits very well around a pair of Sidi shoes, but the issue I found however, was the rather unusual gaping three finger gap around my ankles. Wearing these made me look like slightly unusual as they resembled a neoprene perverts pixi boot. I'm sure these may fit someone with chunkier cankles, but for me these were a very disappointing fit. Returned for a refund.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice insulation, poor cut After reading all reviews, I ordered a size M for a pair of S-Works road shoes (size 42). However, I still spent 20 minutes to put on for the first time. Really strange cut around the cleats, especially for my time xpresso. You may tell from the third photo of the product how strange the hole position is. It took a lot of efforts to pull sole over the cleat, and made me sweat more than ride at 40kph.

I have Shimano SH-RX800 Gravel Shoe with size 45. Is there any chance to fit this overshoes with size Large because XL is unavailable. Hmm.

We would not recommend using these with a the Shimano SH-RX800 Gravel Shoe regardless of size. They are designed for road style 3 bolt cleat systems, and soles without groves.

Is it waterproof?

These overshoes are water resistant and will withstand water for a while. They are not fully waterproof so if you do ride under down pouring rain for quite a while the water will eventually sip through.
