Le cyclocross est un sport aussi dur que beau. Pratiqué dans des conditions météorologiques extrêmes, sur des champs poussiéreux et dans des forêts gelées remplies de fans, la saison de la Coupe du Monde UCI s'est achevée le week-end dernier à Hoogerheide. Le calendrier masculin a été dominé par le phénomène néerlandais Mathieu van der Poel qui a remporté sept courses sur neuf, tandis que le championnat féminin a offert une compétition beaucoup plus excitante puisque les 15 meilleures coureuses étaient capables de gagner le gros lot.
En amont des championnats du monde de ce week-end, nous avons demandé au photographe Russ Ellis de nous présenter une sélection de ses meilleurs clichés de la saisons 2017/18. Il a réussi à rendre ce qui est dur plus beau que jamais.

The North American cross scene has many variants, but only one constant: the Richard Sachs Cyclocross Team. Since 2003, RSCX has come to represent everything that makes the muddy discipline so beloved of its practitioners. This season, RSCX are kitted out in Rapha Custom.
