World Championship 2011 Events
It’s no coincidence that Copenhagen is the first city to be designated an official UCI Bike City by road riding’s governing body. From 19th-25th September, the city will play host to the UCI World Championships with some of the best riders on the planet set to do battle at locations in both the city centre and picturesque Rudersdal in North Sealand.
From the inaugural champion Alfredo Binda, in 1927, to current title-holder Thor Hushovd, the list of riders to have graced the famous multi-coloured hoops features some of the greatest names in the history of the sport.
To help you make the most of this year’s racing action, Rapha is hosting a series of rides and events throughout the Championships.
Rapha Mobile Cycle Club
The Rapha Mobile Cycle Club will be present at both venues during the Championships. The Mobile Cycle Club’s inbuilt 60” television will be screening all the action live, as well as serving the finest espresso in town. You can also take the opportunity to see the new Rapha range for Autumn/ Winter 2011, as well as browse specialist cycling publications and memorabilia from around the world. The Mobile Cycle Club will also be hosting a special film evening.
During the time trials (19th-21st September), the Mobile Cycle Club will be at Rapha’s retail partner Soigneur.

For the road races (22nd-25th September) the Mobile Cycle Club will move to the picturesque hills of Rudersdal, 15km north of Copenhagen.

Rapha Rides the World Championships
During the World Championships Rapha will be hosting four social rides, giving you the chance to ride the same beautiful North Sealand landscape as the pro peloton. The rides are FREE OF CHARGE and vary in length between 50 and 150km. With support (and coffee) from the Rapha Mobile Cycle Club, each ride will be accompanied by Rapha representatives and ambassador riders.
