uncomfortable chamois, little frontal support
The fit and make of these bibs is really nice, but the chamois makes them unwearable. I found the rubbing from the central seam to be very uncomfortable, and the lack of frontal support resulted in a lot of 'movement', especially when cycling of out the saddle

I bought medium core bib shorts as recommended by mates and as per size chart. It may be the medium has changed in the last handful of years. I'm 5.8.5 (174cms) 78 kgs muscular and medium is a little too tight. Straps are good and length is good and perhaps a tad long. It's a case of properly getting INTO the bibs but if you're my size or a tad bigger, consider a large (just note length may affect you) and if you're smaller remain with the medium.
They seem well made, the pad has performed thus far although nothing near 100km rides, grippers are good. I think you won't be disappointed with them but give sizing careful consideration.

Prominent seam
Prominent seam right through the middle of the chamois, where the perineum meets the saddle. Ridiculously bad piece of design

High quality but check sizing
Very high quality bibshorts. Well made and put together using high quality fabrics. High quality pad in place too. These feel far higher cost than the core range pricing.
One gripe - the size chart doesn’t always work very well. On paper i should be squarely a “medium” but I couldn’t get the shorts up over my knees as the waist opening was so small. I had to reorder a large and extra large and I settled on a “large”.

Do not buy this short.
Very disappointed with these shorts. After 3 or 4 rides the bottom of the leg grippers became wavy and baggy to such an extent that in a fit of pique i ripped them off and threw them in the bin. I have had shorts for many years and have not come across this before. The very bottom of the leg grippers was very thin. Would not recommend so called entry level item.

Garbage
Purchased these one month ago and the stitching is coming out. Support said it’s “not uncommon”. I bought two pairs of these and I’m having identical issues in both pairs. I have never had any issues with any bibs brand like Castilli Louis garneau specialized Bontrager. These fell apart instantly. I ride 150 miles a week and it’s been split between two pairs.

Great bibs - Survived the dirty Reiver
These are great Bib shorts ! - I have had these for 2 months now and they are great. I have used them for a number of training rides shared between gravel and road and they have been great. I wore them on the Dirty Reiver last month and that is a long bumpy day in the saddle and had no issues they were comfy and stayed in place perfectly. The construction is brilliant and fells very solid, they feel like a quality item. I also have a pair of Le Col sport 2 bib shorts and these are ahead in build and comfort. I am 5.9ft and 166ibs (with some of that stored in a dad bod bump), and the medium are great fit.
I would recommended and if needed i would purchase again.

Nice looking bibs that perform well
First up my measurements - height: 180cm, weight: 79kg, waist: 90cm, hips: 97cm, inseam 83cm.
I ordered the large and they are a good fit. Initially I thought the pad was a bit on the thin side but after a 60k+ spin I have no complaints.
I ordered the navy and they look great. These are Rapha's entry level bibs but they would be comparable to mid-range in most of the other top brands.

Rapha Core Bib shorts
I have a similarly priced pair of Castelli bib shorts however the pad on these is actually much better with significantly more coverage around the front which is where you spend most of the time. Quality feels high however straps are a little shorter than I would have liked. I like the width of the straps and this means that the added pressure on my shoulders from the being short doesn’t become too uncomfortable. For reference I don’t have an unusually long torso. Also they are not too thin making them well suited to the UK climate.

Super comfortable but run a little bit small
I never used a bib with an extra fabric over the back/neck, at first ride the felling was strange, but after a couple rides the designs are very clever to prevent suspenders moves outside and help tit protection when jersey get sweaty. Unless i check the size chart, the Large one runs a little bit small, not to much, but feels tight in a chobby body like me.

5'8 175 lbs muscular build
Awesome shorts. A bit of hassle to get into, but extremely comfortable. Worth every penny. I went with size medium (I wear size 32-33 pants) I'm 5'8 175lbs (172cm 79kg). I feel as if large would fit just as well, but I like having everything tight. Definitely buying another pair, I don't see the point of trying anything else. The pad is amazing, feels like I'm wearing nothing at all, nothing at all, nothing at all...

Pad stitching unraveling after 10 rides
Comfortable shorts, great fit. But poor construction. The stitching for the pad has started to unravel after only a few rides. I've never had shorts fall apart so quickly. For the price I would expect higher quality. The pad itself is not fantastic but is serviceable, no problem with long rides. Definitely a step down from their more expensive bibs, but there's still no reason the stitching can't be better.

Excellent quality and fit
Great value bib shorts that perform well. Great feel, great pad, great fit. Worn for a few months now on many rides till 100+km and they are really comfortable. I am 185cm/80kgs and the Large fits perfect to me. Excellent quality, cool style, at a reasonable price. Love them!

Room for improvement
As a keen rider of 40+ years I appreciate well made, well cut Bibs, but I balk at the high price of premium Bibs, which is silly as a good pair will last many years if looked after. Anyway I thought I would try these entry Bibs from Rapha as I like their jerseys. I have ridden these for the last month and they perform quite well, the cut is very good with good compression in the thighs which I appreciate, the machining and construction are first class, the chamois however is quite rigid and feels a little like you have a magazine down your duds, but it works ok, not great. If the chamois was more comfortable with better contours it would lift these Bibs into a much higher class imo.

First bib shorts fit well
These are my first pair of bib shorts and from the beginners view, having tried no other bib shorts, they fit very well and keep me comfortable on the saddle. I am 175 cm in height, size 79cm waist, 71 kg, regular-to-slim build and I chose medium rather than small although both fit. Small gives more of a compression fit and medium fits well without being loose at all. Small and medium shorts have different sizes of chamois sewn in, which was also a consideration.

Bad Quality
The lower grip on the legs are loose as compared to the rest fits perfect.Color Dark Navy deteriorates after 2x wash much faster than one would expect for an expensive high end product.

Outstanding Shorts, Outstanding Value, Size Down
I intended to buy the Pro Team Training shorts but my size was available and went for these instead. I'm so glad I did as these shorts are spot on. They are understated, simple, comfortable on all rides and above all, very good value. I can't believe they are at this price point. Grab them while you can. The leg length is long but that's how I like it and you can easily adjust to your preference when this is the case. The sizing is slightly odd as I am 180cm and 70kg and wear a small in these. Normally I would opt for a medium.

Great shorts, be careful with sizing
Everything is fine after a few rides and washings. Shorts are quite comfortable and stretchy, only the chamois on the front could be a little roomier or let's say it could end a cm or two higher. I am 175cm / 65 kg and ordered small. Shorts are tight, stretchy and stay in its place, perfect for riding. If you are taller then me, weight more and don't want a super tight fit, go with medium.

Rapha Core Bib Short
The fit of the Core Bib short for me is satisfactory. in a tropical country I am 160 cm tall and ordered a size Large. What I like about this core bib short is the leg grippers. I does not irritate the skin after 5 hours of riding and also the bib strap with a central cut out. The straps contoured the shoulder and the cut out at the center does not feel hot when sweating. I reside in a tropical country where the climate most of the year is hot. The only downside is the shape of the padding in front. I don't know if the size that I am wearing is wrong but the appearance of the padding is like a "Camel Toe look" when your off the bike standing. But overall the Rapha Core bib short is a good investment.

Not the Rapha I have come to expect.
Not Comfortable or up to the standards that I have come to expect from Rapha. Maybe it is because I tried the Core line for the first time and it is just not for me, but I found the quality to be diminished from my previous Rapha experiences with bib shorts. I found my crotch area was WAY too compressed and not comfortable whatsoever. The materials in the bib shorts felt cheap and plastic. I had previously loved my Rapha bib shorts purchased over 7 years ago. Need to find that quality and comfort again.

Great buy for the buck
My first Rapha shorts. Decided to give them a try because they were on sale and I heard good things about the pad and short. These bibs are very good for the money. I really like the pad. Foam in all the right places and like the soft fabric against the skin down there. Material of short is nice. Would prefer it a little lighter and less compressive. Wore them on a warmish day and they were a little warmer than I like. Fit is good. I bought a medium. Maybe I could have gone up to a Large but then they would have been too long. I am 5' 9" 175. Overall I recommend these.

My Favorite Bibs!
I really don't think I need to spend any more money on a bib than this. I have worn these on several century rides and it hits me in a the right spots. The chamois may not be super fancy, but it the right thickness and density for me. These are my go to bibs.
I am 6'2" and 185lbs. with an athletic build. I have a 33" waist so I bought the Medium. The fit is snug and compressive, and it relaxes a bit after a few wears and washes...but only a bit. If you find yourself between sizes, if you like compression, go for the smaller. If you like it more relaxed, go for the larger.

Best Bib Shorts
These bib shorts are absolutely fantastic. They look great, fit perfectly and they are really good quality as you expect from Rapha. The chamois is the most comfortable I’ve experienced too. I am 6’3 and a 34 waist if that helps others with the sizing and I got the L.

Best "entry level" short out there.
Just excellent. It's hard to believe these are Rapha's economy bibs, as they're better than nearly every other high-end bib I've tried in the last 30 years. Flawless chamois, comfy bib straps, very good compression with no leg band slippage or folding.
Minor quibble: I wish the bibs were cut just a tiny bit higher at the belly button for maximum overlap with base layers and for a bit more frontal coverage on chilly mornings.
Also, the subtle graphics are a nice touch.
I'll be getting a second pair of these as soon as the all-black version becomes available again.

Great bib and pad doesn't work for me!
I am disappointed by this bib. I had a previous bib from Rapha which is great and unfortunately, became damaged at the seam to the pad. The voucher I very kindly received from Rapha I used towards this bib. I had heard so many good things about the core bib from friends and read reviews on here. I also wanted the blue colorway so I went for this. I hate to say that the pad on this pant is horrible for me. I can't even ride an hour without pain. I've ridden multiple times and regret having tried so many times to get comfortable with this product. I would have otherwise tried to return it. Construction is great and the logos and whatnot are staying put after a couple washes. It disappoints me even more that it is made so well and looks so good. The pad just isn't for me and I will have to live with the bib as it is no longer returnable.

Simply the Best
Let me start by saying I have owned pretty much every well known brand there is, with the exception of PAS NORMAL. This bib wins. It simply wins. You could go bike packing with this bib easily. And you could just as easily go for the most minimalist saddle there is, climbing for days and it’ll provide comfort too. The fit is the best I’ve tried. The straps are perfectly wide, perfectly placed and the chamois is not too squishy and not too thin. Basically, it’s perfect. Deffo getting one in every color there is. Didn’t want to make the Rapha jump because it’s a brand that in my neck of the woods seems overplayed. (SoCal initially but since have moved to NorCal, same deal, Rapha Country) But now I understand why. It’s amazing.

Snug bib shorts
These bib shorts are super soft and a slim fitting silhouette. The only difficulty I have had is some chaffing around three edges of the chamois. They are also cut a little long on the leg for me. I’m a short guy and they come to the knee cap which is a little long. The sticky keepers work very well & the shoulder girdle fits great there is a good heap of elasticity in the material and I’ve been quite comfortable in them. For my next purchase I will look for less seams in the garment but overall comfortable, breathable and flexible enough for Sunday rides.

sizing of shorts is different
I have bought Rapha for years and always knew which size shorts to buy so they fitted me perfectly. I have had difficulty finding the right size for these latest shorts and have had to buy XL where as before I was buying L. I am the same size I have been for many years. Your product quality is amazing but I don't know what has happened to your sizing recently and I am not happy with the fit of the latest shorts. I have asked your company via email to check the validity of a gift card with £100 on that I received but they are unable to confirm this.
