well, hats off to anyone doing that kind of mileage in that particular week but if you are actually in a culture and family (or friends for that matter) that observes the festival then this is a pretty anti-social challenge. I'd be heading for a divorce if I spent that amount of time on a bike during that week.

Balls. Will be in transit 28th-31st

Can I start early & still be eligible for woven badge ? ( if 500KM is completed in 7 days )

I say multiply every km by every degree below zero (C) the temperature is at while riding.
Perhaps we should also device some sort of snow factor.
It's already 10 below here and I don't think I can manage much more than the ~20km of my daily commute, or maybe I just need to HTFU.

Based on Gary's comment, can we have the Festive 5 for those of us with kids? That way I can do it with them on the bikes that are hidden in the garden shed at the moment. :)

That said, I am going to see how near I can get whilst maintaining a functioning family. ie: My f500 will be Xkm, where Xkm=AvSp x(24-Y); where AvSp is average speed per hour, and Y is the hours required to maintain said functioning family (happy, engaged, sharing Xmas etc…not just breathing). The question is what is X? will is be 0.25 f500, 0.5 f500…more?

Enjoy everyone!! Envy you.
