Buffalo Pass is 100 mile point-to-point from the Great Basin Desert town of Chilne, Arizona to Buffalo Pass, high in the Chuska Mountains. Travelling through some of the American Southwest’s most spectacular geography and colorful geology to a dinner of mutton stew and Navajo tacos at the Thunderbird Lodge, Buffalo Pass is an epic journey from low deserts to high pinion and juniper pine forests. The route passes ancient Indian ruins, Shiprock (a Navajo loadstone), ranches, artisans and monuments.

RIDE: Sangre de Christo | MILES: 118 | LOCATION: Angel Fire, NM

Sangre de Christo is 118 mile loop out of Angel Fire, New Mexico. Dirt roads, 13,000 foot peaks, watersheds, rios, plateaus, ranches, lakes, tamales, centuries old flour mills, ancient churches, coyotes, raspberries and near nonexistent traffic on narrow roads that, in certain spots, literally wind around trees, make this ride a true southwest epic.

Coal Miner out of Steamboat Springs, is 124 mile loop mixing smooth pavement, chip seal and secondary dirt roads. This route rolls through classic northwest Colorado towns like Clark, Steamboat Lake and the old mining town of Oak Creek on it’s way through ranchlands, meadows, forest and Rocky Mountain Passes.
